  • Publication number: 20220094743
Abstract: The present invention relates to communications methods and apparatus for session load balancing among session processing entities. An exemplary method embodiment includes the steps of receiving from a first device at a Signaling Front End Load Balancer (SLB) a first session initiation request destined for a second device; making a first session load balancing decision at the SLB with respect to the received first session initiation request; transmitting the first session initiation request to a first Session Border Controller (SBC) worker based on the first load balancing decision, the first SBC worker being one of a plurality of SBC workers forming a cluster of SBC workers, making a session mismatch determination at the first SBC worker with respect to a first session corresponding to the first session initiation request; and when the session mismatch determination is that a session mismatch has occurred notifying the SLB of the session mismatch.

  • Publication number: 20220094520
Abstract: Computer-implemented methods and systems (DMS) for facilitating data similarity queries across a network (CN) of data memories (DM1, DM2). The disclosed methods and system are configured for matching data items held in the data memories (DM1, DM2) in a probabilistic manner with cryptographic protection of the data items. The data matching methods and systems (DMS) are robust against inconsistencies within the data to be matched (such as typographical errors, minor mismatches etc), within a certain predetermined similarity threshold (q), usually described as a percentage. The disclosed methods and systems (DMS) allow fast, low latency turnaround by aggregating the data items to be matched into data structures (M1, M2) that facilitate group-wise matching as opposed to pair-wise matching.

  • Patent number: 11282098
Abstract: Offline consumer behavior and interactions are observed using beacons positioned at venues where consumers spend time and interact with each other. The beacons communicate with mobile computing devices that are carried by the observed consumers. The observed consumer behavior provides actionable insights into how consumers influence each other. For example, the people that a particular consumer spends time with form a “circle of influence” associated with that consumer. If the consumer makes a purchase, members of the circle of influence are observed to understand the degree to which they were influenced by the purchase, if at all. Metrics that quantify a consumer's influence over other consumers allow marketers to more effectively target both the influencing and influenced consumers. Also, if relatively little information is known about a particular consumer, that consumer's digital marketing profile can be supplemented using information known about the consumers with whom he/she often spends time.

  • Patent number: 11278435
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments relate to techniques for supplying increased power to an augmentation device without increasing battery size. For example, the load may be a motor that provides augmentation power to a joint of a prosthetic ankle, and which is generally powered by a battery. A reconfigurable electrical circuit may connect a supercapacitor in series with the battery to boost the power from the battery at times when a pulse of increased power is demanded. For instance, states of one or more switches of the electrical circuit may be changed in order to briefly disconnect the motor from the circuit just prior to a powered plantarflexion phase of a gait cycle of the ankle, and then to reconnect the motor to a reconfigured circuit to provide a power boost. The circuit may also be reconfigured to allow the battery to recharge the supercapacitor during periods of nominal power demand.
