  • Patent number: 11108762
Abstract: A method for regulating access to a protected resource is disclosed. The method includes: receiving, via the communication interface from a client application executing on a first device, a first signal including a request to obtain an access token for accessing a protected resource, the request including: a client identifier uniquely identifying the client application; an authorization code for authorizing the client application's access of the protected resource; and a public key associated with the end user; and in response to validating the request: encrypting the authorization code using the public key to generate a first code; and transmitting, via the communication interface to the client application on the first device, a second signal including both an access token for accessing the protected resource and the first code.

  • Patent number: 11106464
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses relating to access synchronization in a shared memory are described. In one embodiment, a processor includes a decoder to decode an instruction into a decoded instruction, and an execution unit to execute the decoded instruction to: receive a first input operand of a memory address to be tracked and a second input operand of an allowed sequence of memory accesses to the memory address, and cause a block of a memory access that violates the allowed sequence of memory accesses to the memory address. In one embodiment, a circuit separate from the execution unit compares a memory address for a memory access request to one or more memory addresses in a tracking table, and blocks a memory access for the memory access request when a type of access violates a corresponding allowed sequence of memory accesses to the memory address for the memory access request.

  • Publication number: 20210260609
Abstract: A dispenser pump has a plunger operable in a body including an outer cylinder body having a vent opening in its sidewall and a body insert fitting into the top of the outer body and providing an external collar through which the plunger stem operates. The body insert has lock-down threads to lock down the plunger for shipping. The insert also has formations for blocking or unblocking the vent opening by rotation between the outer body and body insert, driven by rotation of the plunger head which makes a catch engagement with the top of the body insert. This plunger head rotation is the locking or unlocking action for the plunger lock-down. Blocking the vent during shipping reduces leakage.

  • Publication number: 20210260764
Abstract: Disclosed autonomous mobile robot systems can be used to safely and efficiently navigate through a facility while avoiding objects in the path of the autonomous mobile robot during completion of a task. Specifically, a first bounded area based on first sensor data may be generated around an autonomous mobile robot where the first sensor data is used to identify objects in a travel path for the autonomous mobile robot and determine a speed for navigating the facility. A second bounded area of a size less than the first bounded area may be generated around the autonomous mobile robot based on speed information from propulsion components of the autonomous mobile robot. A new travel path and new speed information may be generated based on identifying an object in the travel path, dimensional measurements of a space around the object, and a current size of the second bounded area.

  • Publication number: 20210259704
Abstract: A method and system for controlling a tourniquet establishes a set of values for a characteristic of an induced pressure pulse in the tourniquet while the tourniquet is inflated to a working pressure which is at a predetermined offset above the limb occlusion pressure. Maximum and minimum thresholds for this characteristic value are established, such that during the working phase of application of the tourniquet the induced pressure pulse is continually monitored and the value of the characteristic is compared to the thresholds. If a threshold is reached the tourniquet is inflated or deflated accordingly to restore the value of the characteristic to within the thresholds. The characteristic of the induced pressure pulse, which may be e.g. pulse height, area under pulse or pulse width at a percentage of peak height, may also be used to determine behaviour of the pressure pulse by noting a variation in the rate of change as the tourniquet is inflated past the limb occlusion pressure.

  • Publication number: 20210263014
Abstract: A universal bacterial assay and kit for detecting and monitoring changes in concentration of a target analyte in solution. The assay relies on an engineered high affinity protein-based sensor with a detectable label that has high specificity to a target analyte, typically a ligand or metallated complex, and can be used to spectroscopically monitor interaction of the target analyte with a test bacterial strain. The sensors can be in the form of living, transport-deficient bacterial cells expressing the engineered high affinity protein, or in the form of purified proteins themselves. The system can further be used to screen candidate compounds for interference with the binding and uptake of such analytes by bacterial cells, which is useful in investigation of new classes of antibiotics.
