  • Publication number: 20210238068
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to compositions and uses of sulfidogenesis inhibitor compounds of Formulae 1 and 2 for preventing sulfidogenesis, i.e., the reduction reaction of a sulfur-containing compound by sulfur-utilizing prokaryotes that produce sulfide species such as hydrogen sulfide, during enhanced oil recovery processes. A method for inhibiting or decreasing microbial sulfide production by sulfur-utilizing prokaryotes includes addition of an effective amount of sulfidogenesis inhibitor compounds of Formulae 1 and 2 to the fluid that is injected into a sulfidogenic reservoir system during enhanced oil recovery. For example, the compounds can be used as sulfidogenesis inhibitors in a water injection system for use in a hydrocarbon extraction system or a hydrocarbon production system. Thus, these compositions can be effectively used as inhibitors of biogenic hydrogen sulfide generation in oilfield fluids.

  • Patent number: 11082808
Abstract: Techniques are described for an unbuffered multicast delivery mode representing the capability of transmitting a multicast frame within a same DTIM interval during which the multicast frame is received. In an example, a network access device determines that a first computing device is in a power saving mode. The network access device receives, during a DTIM interval while the first computing device is in the power saving mode, a multicast frame destined to a multicast MAC address. The network access device determines an association between the multicast MAC address and a device MAC address of a second computing device. The network access device sends, during the DTIM interval and based on the association, the multicast frame to the second computing device.

  • Patent number: 11074048
Abstract: In a computer program, sublanguage code snippets implement regular expressions, pattern matching, print formatting, component selection, and other operations, using sublanguage syntax and semantics different from the source code in which snippets are embedded. Writing snippets that give desired execution results has been difficult and interfered with software development workflow. But sublanguage snippet presentation functionality in an enhanced development tool automatically detects source code locations suitable for snippets, receives snippet execution result examples from a developer, submits the examples to synthesis-by-example technology, gets autosynthesized snippets that give those results, and displays snippet insertion candidates with guidance. A snippet selected by the developer replaces the example(s) in the source code, improving developer productivity and program execution accuracy with respect to documented test cases.

  • Patent number: 11076195
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for automatically navigating a graphical user interface (GUI) of a media device. In embodiments, objects (e.g. selectable items) in device GUI menu screens may be located, identified, and selected by another device (e.g., a switch) using several types of image processing, image recognition, and automated screen navigation techniques. For instance, a device may receive an operation request, for example from a user, receive a video signal from the connected media device, extract a video frame, process the video frame using one or more algorithms, and automatically navigate the GUI of the device by transmitting one more navigation commands for application to the GUI. In this manner, multi-step, time-consuming manual GUI navigation to achieve a desired result may be reduced to an automated technique, allowing users to save time and frustration in navigating a GUI using a remote control to find a particular resource.

  • Publication number: 20210224091
Abstract: Techniques of remote computing resource access using sharable links are disclosed herein. One example technique includes receiving, at a security portal of a private network, an access request from a client device of a user for accessing a virtual machine (“VM”) on the private network via a public network. The technique can then include retrieving a copy of a configuration file corresponding to the virtual machine according to the VM identifier in the access request and accessing the virtual machine according to operating parameters in the retrieved copy of the configuration file to generate an execution result. The technique can further include transmitting, from the security portal, the execution result to the client device of the user via the public network, thereby shielding, with the security portal, the virtual machine on the private network from actions initiated via the public network.
