  • Patent number: 11100501
Abstract: The invention relates to systems and methods for providing modular and configurable smart contracts for blockchain applications. The smart contracts may be utilized to retain all transaction attribute values in a world state database of the blockchain-implemented ledger. The systems and methods can further provide for dynamically configurable validation metadata and validation rules for transaction attributes recorded on a blockchain transaction log. The validation metadata and validation rules corresponding to the transaction attributes can be dynamically updated and applied to the transaction attributes to validate or invalidate a transaction.

  • Publication number: 20210258145
Abstract: Technologies for compressing a blockchain. In some examples, the technologies include removing selected blocks within a blockchain, and replacing the selected blocks with a summary block and a padding block. Each block of the selected blocks includes data in a certain state (such as data in an obsolete state). The technologies can include generating the summary block and padding blocks according to the data in the selected blocks and an original root hash included in the selected blocks and other blocks of the blockchain. The generating of the summary and padding blocks can include generating a new root hash in the summary and padding blocks that only replaces the original root hash in the summary and padding blocks. The generation of the new root hash can be based on a part of a header of a non-selected block of the blockchain directly linked to an end block of selected blocks.

Abstract: A methods and systems for generating rectified signals are disclosed. For example, a system performing the methods includes a current source rectifier which has a plurality of switches configured to receive an input current from an AC voltage source and to receive a plurality of control signals. The switches are configured to produce a rectified output current based on the input current and the control signals. The system also includes a rectifier controller configured to receive a current sense signal indicative of the rectified output current and to generate the control signals based at least in part on the current sense signal, where the control signals cause the current source rectifier to attenuate at least one of a plurality of harmonic frequencies in the rectified output current.

  • Publication number: 20210255211
Abstract: Some embodiments include a method and apparatus which obtains sensor data associated with a vehicle. The sensor data includes three-dimensional acceleration data and three-dimensional rotation data, with respect to a sensor coordinate system. A gravity vector is obtained, and it is determined when the vehicle starts moving. Acceleration direction is used as a forward direction of the vehicle. It is determined from the rotation data when the vehicle changes direction, the rotation data indicating two different directions. The gravity vector is used to distinguish which is an upward direction by selecting directions the direction which has larger angle with respect to the gravity vector as the upward direction. The forward direction and upward direction are used to determine a rightward direction. The forward direction, upward direction and rightward direction represent the vehicle coordinate system. The orientation of the apparatus with respect to the orientation of the vehicle is determined.

  • Patent number: 11095711
Abstract: A method and associated systems for a multi-tenant DNS mechanism. A multi-tenant computing environment hosts multiple private overlay networks, each of which comprises one tenant's domain. A multi-tenant DNS agent receives a DNS request to resolve a domain address located within the multi-tenant environment. The agent examines a special record within the request to determine whether the request requires resolving the domain address to an internal tenant-specific network identifier within a tenant's private network. The agent then forwards the request to a DNS server, notifying the server whether the requested address resolution is tenant-specific. If the request is not tenant-specific, the server performs a conventional DNS lookup. But if the request is tenant-specific, the DNS server instead performs a lookup into a tenant-specific local database that allows the domain address to be resolved to an internal address visible only within the multi-tenant computing environment.

  • Patent number: 11091171
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, system, and/or computer program product controls a driving mode of a self-driving vehicle (SDV). One or more processors compare a control processor competence level of an on-board SDV control processor in controlling the SDV to a human driver competence level of a human driver in controlling the SDV while the SDV encounters a current roadway condition which is a result of current weather conditions of the roadway on which the SDV is currently traveling. One or more processors then selectively assign control of the SDV to the SDV control processor or to the human driver while the SDV encounters the current roadway condition based on which of the control processor competence level and the human driver competence level is relatively higher to one another.

  • Patent number: 11095528
Abstract: A method routes an identity query to a particular identity network. An identity broker determines that a candidate identity network is associated with a confidence score that satisfies predetermined criteria. Responsive to determining that the candidate identity network is associated with the confidence score that satisfies the predetermined criteria, the identity broker onboards the candidate identity network into a set of identity networks services, and then routes an identity query for an identity to the candidate identity network that satisfies the predetermined criteria.

  • Patent number: 11095875
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for testing communication with a device. A multimedia receiver may be communicatively coupled to a media device, such as a source media device. The multimedia receiver may transmit a test command to control the source media device using a communication protocol. A video frame output by the source media device may be obtained. Based at least on the video frame, it may be determined whether the source media device received the test command. In response to a determination that the source media device received the test command, an indication may be stored that the source media device may be controlled using the communication protocol.

  • Patent number: 11093130
Abstract: Techniques and systems are provided for performing drawing tool identification and retrieval. For instance, based on a user creating content within a digital image using a drawing tool, a drawing tool-retrieval system may determine a unique identifier corresponding to the drawing tool. The identifier may indicate the type of the drawing tool, as well as any configurable settings of the drawing tool selected by the user. The drawing tool-retrieval system can store the identifier in association with pixels corresponding to the content. When the user wishes to use the drawing tool again, the user can provide a drawing tool-picking input that includes selection of a pixel corresponding to the content. In response to the drawing tool-picking input, the drawing tool-retrieval system can obtain the identifier of the drawing tool and then activate the drawing tool to enable the user to edit the image with the drawing tool.

  • Patent number: 11093403
Abstract: The disclosure provides a technique for reducing cache misses to a cache of a computer system. The technique includes deallocating memory pages of the cache from one process and allocating those memory pages to another process based on cache misses of each process during a given time period. Repeating the technique leads the total number of cache misses to the cache to gradually decrease to an optimum or near optimum level. The repetition of the technique leads to a dynamic and flexible apportionment of cache memory pages to processes running within the computer system.

  • Patent number: 11095953
Abstract: A computer system, method, and computer-readable product for automatically generating a hierarchy of concepts described in a video using semantic concept matching that assists persons in searching for specific types of content within videos. A video segment is obtained, with the segment having a distinct running time with discrete information related to one or more topics within its content. The discrete information of the video segment is then parsed out and related to a predetermined relevant topic, and then one or more attributes for weighting each discrete information relevant topic within the video segment are determined. A hierarchy of concepts of the video segments is then created, based upon, at least, the weighting of the information topic within the running time of the video segment based upon the presence of the one or more attributes. Other information related to the video segment can also be used to modify the hierarchy.
