  • Publication number: 20230421535
Abstract: A network device may receive IPv6 fragments of a flow. Source and/or destination port information may be encoded into an upper sixteen bits of an identification number of an IPv6 fragment header of each of the IPv6 fragments. The network device may extract the source and/or destination port information from the IPv6 fragments, and may perform a spoof check of the IPv6 fragments. The network device may drop any of the IPv6 fragments that fail the spoof check, to generate remaining IPv6 fragments, and may translate the remaining IPv6 fragments into IPv4 fragments based on the source and/or destination port information. The network device may forward the IPv4 fragments toward an IPv4 cloud network.

  • Publication number: 20230420507
Abstract: Semiconductor devices on a substrate with an alternative crystallographic surface orientation. Example devices includes gate-all-around (e.g., nanoribbon and nanosheet) and forksheet transistors. In an example, a substrate having a (110) crystallographic surface orientation forms the basis for the growth of alternating silicon germanium (SiGe) or germanium tin (GeSn) and silicon (Si) semiconductor layers. P-channel transistors may be formed using SiGe or GeSn nanoribbons while n-channel transistors are formed from Si nanoribbons. The crystallographic surface orientation of the SiGe or GeSn nanoribbons will reflect the same crystallographic surface orientation of the substrate, which leads to a higher hole mobility across the SiGe or GeSn nanoribbons and improved device performance.

  • Patent number: 11853161
Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage medium, for predicting a likelihood of a future computer memory failure. In one aspect training data inputs are obtained, where each training data input includes correctable memory error data that describes correctable errors that occurred in a computer memory and data indicating whether the correctable errors produced a failure of the computer memory. For each training data input, image representations of the correctable memory error data included in the training data input are generated. The image representations are processed using a machine learning model to output an estimated likelihood of a future failure of the computer memory. A difference between the estimated likelihood of the future failure of the computer memory and the data indicating whether the correctable errors produced a failure of the computer memory is computed. Values of model parameters are updated using the computed difference.

  • Publication number: 20230409392
Abstract: An apparatus and method for efficiently managing balanced performance among replicated partitions of an integrated circuit despite loss of functionality due to manufacturing defects. A processing unit includes at least two replicated partitions, each assigned to operation parameters of a respective power domain. The partitions include multiple compute units. The compute units include multiple lanes of execution. Due to a variety of types of manufacturing defects, one or more of the partitions of the processing unit has less than a predetermined number of operational compute units. To balance the throughput of the multiple partitions, a power manager generates both static and dynamic scaling factors based on at least the corresponding number of operational compute units. Using these scaling factors, the power manager adjusts the operation parameters of power domains for the partitions relative to one another.
