  • Publication number: 20030067231
Abstract: A vibration-generating device includes a motor stored in a housing such that a rotating shaft projects from the housing. A weight is attached to the rotating shaft and a coil spring which serves as an elastic member is wound around the rotating shaft. One end of the coil spring is attached to a shaft and the other end to a restraining projection. When the rotating shaft and the weight reciprocate, the housing vibrates due to an impact which occurs every time the moving direction of the weight is reversed. When a stepping motor is used, an impact occurs and damping vibration is generated due to the impact when a driving pulse is applied to control the motor. Accordingly, the housing vibrates due to this impact or the damping vibration. In addition, rotation control is easily performed and various vibrations are obtained by changing the vibration frequency and amplitude.

  • Patent number: 6237125
Abstract: A dependent relation of operations is extracted from an operation string expressing an operation specification, and thus the dependent relation of operations is created. Connecting relations between arithmetic units constituting an initial circuit construction of a logic circuit are extracted, and thus the connecting relations of the arithmetic units and the corresponding dependent relation of operations are created. Basic conversion rules are applied to the dependent relation of operations, new conversion rules are prepared, and thus conversion rules are created. The conversion rules are repeatedly applied to the dependent relation of operations for optimization, and optimized dependent relation of operations is created. An optimized operation string is prepared from the optimized dependent relation of operations, and an optimized operation string is obtained.

  • Patent number: 6052518
Abstract: A model of architecture of a processor is called an architecture template. Because a designer selects an architecture template of a special purpose processor which is suitable for an objective signal processing algorithm from an architecture template library, a special purpose processor which is the most suitable for any signal algorithm can be synthesized. Moreover, by providing a method of creating an architecture template simply, even if there is no desirable architecture template, an objective architecture template can be synthesized for a short time.

  • Patent number: 5965991
Abstract: A control system for a vehicle-mounted battery which, in accordance with the state of a battery, can make a polyphase alternating current rotating machine in a hybrid car assist the driving gear (the internal combustion engine) or charge the battery. The current and voltage during discharge and charging of a battery mounted on a vehicle are measured, and on the basis of this measured current and voltage information, a program control circuit controls the discharge current when an auxiliary driving force is given to the driving gear. This control is performed via an inverter which performs AC-to-DC or DC-to-AC conversion between the battery and the polyphase alternating current rotating machine coupled to the driving gear of the vehicle. Because the charging and discharging currents are limited in accordance with the state of charging of the battery, it is possible to avoid charging and discharging uniformly irrespective of the amount of charging of the battery.
