  • Publication number: 20060171353
Abstract: In retransmission processing due to a failure of transmission of data packets, a plurality of data packets are simultaneously transmitted between two STAs by utilizing multiple wireless channels and MIMO, and the number of idle channels and the number of retransmission packets are compared. Then, when both of the numbers are different or only when the number of idle channels is larger than the number of retransmission packets, the retransmission packets are reconstructed according to the number of idle channels, and the reconstructed retransmission packets are simultaneously transmitted by using the idle channels.

  • Publication number: 20060139201
Abstract: When a transmission rate of each of lines that transmit data simultaneously between two STAs by using a plurality of radio channels and/or MIMO can be set independently, one data frame is fragmented in accordance with the transmission rates of the respective lines so as to generate a plurality of data packets having the same packet time length and data sizes equal to or smaller than a maximum data size. Those data packets are transmitted simultaneously by using a plurality of radio channels, or one radio channel and MIMO, or a plurality of radio channels and MIMO.

  • Publication number: 20060087998
Abstract: A plurality of data packets that contain sequence numbers, respectively, are transmitted simultaneously between two STAs by using a wireless channel and MIMO. An STA receiving the plurality of data packets transmitted simultaneously by using MIMO generates a single ACK packet containing information that corresponds to a sequence number of each data packet successfully received, and transmits the single ACK packet to a transmit-side STA without using MIMO. Thus, a ratio of successful ACK packet receptions to total receptions can be increased. An effect of improving throughput achieved by simultaneous transmission can also be ensured.

  • Publication number: 20050173196
Abstract: The opening of an oil container 11 for storing oil 12 is sealed airtight with a cover member 32. A one-sided-bag-shaped fluid dynamic pressure bearing 10 is seated on an O-ring 25 and fixed airtight onto the upper surface of a bearing seating 30. Inanexhaust position with the distal end portion of an injection tube 36 positioned away from an oil level, the inside of the oil container 11 is evacuated by a vacuum pump 22 through a suction/exhaust passage including a suction/exhaust through-hole 17, thus turning the inside of the one-sided-bag-shaped fluid dynamic pressure bearing (10) into a vacuum. In this state, a control device drives a moving device to raise the oil container 11 to an injection position and releases the suction/exhaust passage to the atmosphere. This causes the oil 12 to be injected into the one-sided-bag-shaped fluid dynamic pressure bearing 10 through an oil injection passage including the injection tube 36.

  • Publication number: 20040082848
Abstract: A planar irradiating coil including a first ring conductor, a second ring conductor having a smaller diameter than that of the first ring conductor, and a plurality of first line conductors that connects the first ring conductor and the second ring conductor, is provided with means for causing the irradiation pulse to be more uniform. That is, in order to make the irradiation pulse more uniform, it is necessary to disperse the operating voltage or to diverge the irradiation current. Therefore, the irradiating coil is provided with a plurality of resonant capacitance elements on the first ring conductor between its connections with the first line conductors, or it is provided with second line conductors, that are connected to the first line conductors, and third line conductors, that connect each end of the second line conductors with the second ring conductor.

  • Publication number: 20040061394
Abstract: A hydrodynamic bearing fitted with a seal portion capable of suppressing oil leakage efficiently is offered. Also, a rotor device and a motor using this bearing are offered. The seal portion is formed using a shaft-side tapering portion formed in a shaft and a sleeve-side tapering portion formed in an insertion hole in a sleeve. If the axis of rotation tilts when the shaft is at rest or during rotation, the interval between the outer surface of the shaft and the inner surface of the insertion hole decreases in the opening portion of the insertion hole. However, the two tapering portions secure a gap sufficient to hold oil within the hydrodynamic bearing if the interval decreases. Leakage of the oil from the opening portion of the insertion hole can be suppressed efficiently.

  • Patent number: 6330699
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to improve the transmission efficiency and reduce circuit size in error compensating techniques where bit errors occurring during transmission are compensated for by retransmission. Transmission equipment get sequence number(s) from control information and sequence numbers which follows from the sequence number which correspond to newest data packet amongst the sequence numbers. and transmits data packet corresponding to these sequence numbers at a predetermined timing. On the other hand, reception equipment receives data packet from the transmission equipment, and manages the sequence numbers of not yet received data packets. The reception equipment then sends back sequence number(s) of predetermined number, which is smaller number than the maximum number of data packets which is sent from transmission equipment at a predetermined timing, which correspond to not yet received data packet as control Information for each predetermined timing.

  • Patent number: 6188697
Abstract: An asynchronous transfer mode (“ATM”) cell transfer system in a wireless communication system provides quality classes that correspond to the amount of cell transfer delay allowed. Cells are classified according to a quality class and stored in buffers. The cells are read starting from the buffer for the quality class with the highest priority, and successively from buffers for quality classes of lower priority. Alternatively, if there is room in the output interval of cells of a higher priority quality class, cells of a lower quality class are inserted among these cells.
