  • Publication number: 20070207893
Abstract: A vehicle power transmission device in which an engine 61 equipped with a turbo charger 62 and a fluid coupling 2 with a lockup clutch are combined together, wherein a timing for connecting the lockup clutch 25 is normalized to accomplish a smooth connecting during the low-speed traveling after the start. A lockup clutch control device is equipped with means for detecting the operating condition of the turbo charger 62, and the lockup clutch 25 starts to be connected at a moment before the turbo charger 62 reaches a high output state. The lockup clutch 25 is connected within a short period of time without producing a shock due to connection and the vehicle, thereafter, accelerates smoothly. A rate of change in the revolution of the engine 61 or the pressure in the intake pipe 63 is detected to detect the operating condition of the turbo charger 62.

  • Publication number: 20060047866
Abstract: A computer system which includes a DMAC that can control a transfer rate when data is transferred within a memory. The computer system is provided with a variable pulse generation unit, connected to a system bus, for generating a pulse signal having a period and a pulse width that are specified by a CPU. In the case of controlling data transfer between the first and second areas within the memory, the DMAC selects the pulse signal generated by the variable pulse generation unit by means of a selector, thereby controlling the data transfer within the memory in accordance with the timing of the pulse signal. By appropriately setting the period of the pulse signal, long-time use of the system bus by the data transfer within the memory can be eliminated. Thus, it is possible to reduce adverse effect of the use of the system bus by the data transfer within the memory on another task that is executed in parallel.

  • Publication number: 20050174785
Abstract: In an automatic leveling apparatus, a motor inclines an optical axis of a headlamp in an up and down direction relative to a vehicle body, a vehicle height sensor detects a change in a height direction of an axle portion of a front wheel or a rear wheel of a vehicle, and an involatile memory records a control constant inherent to the vehicle. CPU determines whether the control constant is recorded to the involatile memory, calculates a pitch angle based on the control constant inherent to the vehicle and a detecting output of the vehicle height sensor, and controls to drive the motor by generating a control signal for canceling the pitch angle. CPU calculates the pitch angle on a condition that the control constant is recorded to the involatile memory, outputs the control signal and stops to output the control signal to the motor otherwise.

  • Patent number: 6742077
Abstract: Memory modules in the main memory have a memory device of different storage capacity from one another. BCT (Bank Control Table) has entries for units having the same storage capacity. Each entry stores valid bits each of which indicates whether or not a memory device is allocated to a combination of a relevant unit and a relevant memory module and source addresses to be converted to row addresses of the memory devices. ABPT (Address Bit Position Table) has entries for the memory modules. Each entry of ABPT stores information concerning both the number of bits of row address and the number of bits of column address of a memory device mounted on the relevant memory module. When the main memory is accessed from the processor, number determining portion determines the memory module to be accessed with reference to a line address supplied from the processor and temporally stored in the address register and the contents in the BCT.
