  • Patent number: 7206548
Abstract: A method and system for remote testing of a wireless communication device (WCD). The WCD is communicatively linked in a test environment with a host computer that communicates over a packet-switched network with a remote computer operated by a testing technician. The remote computer sends control commands to the host computer via the packet-switched network, and the host computer sends corresponding commands to the WCD to cause the WCD to take one or more actions. In a preferred embodiment, the WCD returns to the host computer a digital representation of the screen image currently being shown on a display screen of the WCD, and the host computer passes the digital representation via the packet-switched network to the remote computer for presentation to the technician. The technician can thereby view the display screen of the WCD as tests are performed. Audio and test-equipment coupling may also be provided.

  • Patent number: 6935198
Abstract: A sampling apparatus is characterized by a sampler and a sample collection station. The sampler is stationary and periodically delivers discrete product samples to a stationary inlet to the sample collection station. The sample collection station includes a deck having a plurality of passages in linearly aligned spaced relationship, a plurality of sample collection containers, and inlets to the sample collection containers that are in communication with associated ones of the deck passages. The deck is linearly indexed in both directions of movement along the linear alignment of the deck passages to place selected ones of the deck passages into communication with the stationary inlet, so that product samples delivered by the sampler to the sample collection station are directed into selected ones of the sample collection containers.

  • Patent number: 6860162
Abstract: A sampler for obtaining wine samples from a wine holding tank is characterized by a manually operable sampler and a connecting device for coupling the sampler to an opening to the tank. The connecting device has open and closed states and the sampler is coupled to the connecting device while it is closed, after which the connecting device is opened to establish a path between the sampler and tank opening. A probe of the sampler, having a forward sample receiving inlet that may be opened and closed, is then manually extended, while its inlet is closed, through the connecting device and tank opening into and through lees deposited as a sediment layer in the region of the tank opening, until the probe inlet is positioned beyond the sediment layer and in wine that is relatively free of sediment. The probe inlet is then opened for flow of a sample of wine from the tank into the inlet and through and out of the probe to a collection container.

  • Patent number: 6829812
Abstract: A headliner system configured to mount to a vehicle roof structure comprises a retainer clip coupled to a substrate, and a handle movable between a first position and a second position. The handle is retained by a retaining system such as a biasing element captured between the roof structure and a projection. A method of mounting a handle to vehicle roof structure comprises providing a retaining system comprising a retainer clip, coupling the retainer clip to a headliner, coupling the handle to the retainer clip and orientating it in a first position, moving the handle to a second position to capture a portion of the handle between the retainer clip and a projection, locating the headliner relative to the roof structure, and moving the handle to a third position to retain a portion of the handle between at least a portion of the retaining system and the roof structure.
