  • Publication number: 20200184394
Abstract: A service provider system may implement an enterprise catalog service that manages software products and portfolios of software products on behalf of service provider customer organizations. Through an administrator interface of the service, a customer organization administrator may create constraints on the use of the software products, and each constraint may include one or more rules about how the products can be launched. These may include environmental constraints (specifying a region in which a product launches), restrictions on input parameter values (including the types of resource instances on which a product can be launched), quotas (controlling the number of product installations), or billing constraints. Constraints may be applied on a user-to-product arc or on a portfolio-to-product arc. Constraints may be stored as objects, and reference to those objects may be added to product or portfolio objects.

  • Publication number: 20200167394
Abstract: There is provided a method and system to communicate information. The system receives a first query that contains a first constraint and retrieves a first plurality of data items from a database based on the first query. Next, the system generates a first distribution based on the first plurality of data items, the first distribution utilizing a first plurality of domains that are used to identify data items. Next the system generates a second distribution based on a plurality of requests to view a second plurality of data items. Next the system generates a third distribution based on the first distribution and the second distribution. Finally, the system generates distribution data to be included within an interface, the interface to include at least one interface element that is positioned on the interface based on the third distribution, the at least one interface element to respectively represent at least one domain.

  • Publication number: 20200159838
Abstract: An audio-visual management system and process for facilitating comprehension of electronic documents. As an example, a user may access contents of an electronic document via a user interface and request a speech-synthesized recitation of any text in the electronic document. In addition, the user interface can include a navigation tool configured to visually represent significant events in the electronic document via selectable indicators, including but not limited to comments, slides, images, graphs, and/or other internal contextual markers. These indicators can serve as navigation options that can provide guidance to users as they listen to a reading of the electronic document. User selection of an indicator can initiate an audio presentation of textual content that is directly associated with the specified event. In addition, users can view availability of others currently listening to the document and connect with them to create a joint listening experience.

  • Publication number: 20200163182
Abstract: A system of networked lighting devices includes a group of lighting device fixture controllers connected in a communication chain. The communication chain provides for transfer of data packets between the lighting device fixture controllers and a central controller. Each fixture controller includes a first power input that receives power from a primary power source, and a priority switch that is configured to switch the fixture controller from the primary power source to a source of DC power upon detecting failure of the primary power source. The source of DC power is sufficient to power the fixture controller and enable the fixture controller to continue to pass a stream of data to other controllers in the communication chain, but it is not sufficient to power the fixture controller's associated lighting device.

  • Patent number: 10648459
Abstract: An SMA actuator arrangement is assembled using a strut element shaped to comprise a sacrificial strut body and crimp tabs held apart by the sacrificial strut body. A SMA wire is laid across the crimp tabs which are folded and pressed to form crimps holding the SMA wire. The crimps are then attached to static and moving parts, after which the sacrificial strut body is removed. The method allows the crimping to be performed without hindrance from the static and moving parts, the sacrificial strut body holding the relative locations of the crimps prior to attachment.

  • Patent number: 10636427
Abstract: Examples described herein improve the way in which a transcript is generated and displayed so that the context of a conversation taking place during a meeting or another type of collaboration event can be understood by a person that reviews the transcript (e.g., reads or browses through the transcript). The techniques described herein use voice recognition to identify a user that is speaking during the meeting. Accordingly, when the speech of the user is converted to text for the transcript, the text can be attributed to the identified user. The techniques described herein further configure a graphical user interface layout, in which the transcript can be displayed. The graphical user interface layout enables users to better understand the context of a conversation that takes place during a meeting.
