  • Publication number: 20200022632
Abstract: An artificial reality system and method provides immersive digital content to a user via a device with limited capabilities. A digital content processor generates a video stream of a real-world environment in a first video resolution regime. The digital content processor identifies static regions across frames of the video stream. The digital content processor applies one or more of a stitching operation, a blending operation, and a layering operation to replace static regions of the video stream with still image pixels. The digital content processor transmits the modified video stream to a display unit of a virtual reality (VR) device at a second video resolution regime of lower resolution than the first video resolution regime.

  • Publication number: 20200023157
Abstract: An artificial reality system and method dynamically provides digital content to a user for treatment of a mental health condition. A digital content processor transmits digital content (e.g., a video stream) to a user. A state detection system monitors one or more states of the user as the user interacts with the digital content in a virtual environment. The digital content processor receives information from the state detection system and/or input from a clinician device about one or more states of the user, and generates a modified video stream based on the information and/or the inputs. The digital content processor transmits the modified video stream to a device associated with a virtual reality platform.

  • Publication number: 20190392837
Abstract: Examples described herein improve the way in which a transcript is generated and displayed so that the context of a conversation taking place during a meeting or another type of collaboration event can be understood by a person that reviews the transcript (e.g., reads or browses through the transcript). The techniques described herein use voice recognition to identify a user that is speaking during the meeting. Accordingly, when the speech of the user is converted to text for the transcript, the text can be attributed to the identified user. The techniques described herein further configure a graphical user interface layout, in which the transcript can be displayed. The graphical user interface layout enables users to better understand the context of a conversation that takes place during a meeting.

  • Publication number: 20190383807
Abstract: Methods and systems for capture concentration of analytes using lectins and other capture ligands are described. For example, stationary phase media functionalized with lectins are used for capture concentration and cleaning of TB lipoarabinomannan (TB LAM) prior to assay on a lateral flow assay (LFA) device, and filtration devices suitable for particulate or bulk capture media are described. Size-exclusion filtration is used to separate particles with captured analyte during washing and concentration steps. Captured analyte can be eluted from stationary phase media prior to application to a LFA or eluted directly onto a customized LFA device that includes a size-selective filter. In various aspects, a size-selective filter on a LFA is used to transfer particulate capture media on a LFA device.

  • Patent number: 10498693
Abstract: Virtual networks may be launched in a provider network with an initial IP address space (e.g., an IPv4 CIDR block). Methods are described that allow additional IP address spaces to be added to a virtual network. A new IP address space for a virtual network may be specified via an API. The specified space may be checked to insure that it does not overlap with IP spaces that are associated with the virtual network. If there are no overlaps, the space is added to the network, for example by adding the space to the network's route tables.
