  • Patent number: 11061402
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods that apply neural networks such as, for example, convolutional neural networks, to sparse imagery in an improved manner. For example, the systems and methods of the present disclosure can be included in or otherwise leveraged by an autonomous vehicle. In one example, a computing system can extract one or more relevant portions from imagery, where the relevant portions are less than an entirety of the imagery. The computing system can provide the relevant portions of the imagery to a machine-learned convolutional neural network and receive at least one prediction from the machine-learned convolutional neural network based at least in part on the one or more relevant portions of the imagery. Thus, the computing system can skip performing convolutions over regions of the imagery where the imagery is sparse and/or regions of the imagery that are not relevant to the prediction being sought.

  • Publication number: 20210206674
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and a device for treating high ammonia-nitrogen wastewater using a microbial electrolysis cell (MEC) assisted SANI system, including an SANI system, an MEC and a power supply. The cathode chamber and anode chamber of the MEC are separated by a separator and are respectively connected to the cathode and anode of the power supply, and a cathode electrode is enriched with hydrogen autotrophic denitrifying bacteria. The cathode chamber has two main functions. Firstly, a higher denitrification efficiency is achieved due to the enriched hydrogen autotrophic denitrifying bacteria; and secondly, the alkalinity produced in the cathode can adjust the pH of the nitrification chamber. In addition, the cathode chamber can oxidize the residual sulfide in the effluent to meet the discharge standard. This system retains the advantage of less sludge in a SANI process, but also can be applied to the treatment of wastewater with high ammonia-nitrogen.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for setting a sports mode are provided. Two metal endpoints on an outer surface of an intelligent device are respectively used as an output end and a receive end of signals. A signal sent by the output end is compared with a signal received by the receive end to determine whether the intelligent device currently meets a preset condition. First sports characteristic data detected by a sports sensing apparatus is obtained to determine whether the first sports characteristic data matches preset sports characteristic data corresponding to a swimming mode. When two determining results are both “yes”, it can be determined that the intelligent device meets a setting condition of the swimming mode.

  • Publication number: 20210168417
Abstract: This patent disclosure provides various embodiments of a client-server based digital video playback system and technique. In one aspect, a process for playing an internet/online video on a user device is disclosed. This process can begin by sending a video playback request for playing back an online video to a server. Next, the process receives a set of video playback addresses corresponding to a set of transcoded versions of the online video and a recommended playback order for the set of transcoded versions from the server. Note that the set of video playback addresses and the recommended playback order are generated based on the video playback request. The process subsequently selects a first video playback address from the set of video playback addresses corresponding to the highest order in the recommended playback order.
