The early warning method comprises the following steps: a. determining whether a location is a humid region; b. calculating soil moisture content of the humid region in a rainy season; c. monitoring rainfall amounts in real time by sensors; d. calculating the soil moisture content S by step b; e. calculating rainfall duration on an hourly basis, calculating a total hourly rainfall amount by superposition from an initial 1-hour rainfall amount, and dividing the total hourly rainfall amount by the rainfall duration to obtain hourly rainfall intensity; f. calculating a critical value Cr of a shallow soil landslide; and g. determining a landslide grade and giving an early warning signal.

The processor may also use the codified clinical guidelines regarding the use case to select said algorithm. Effectively the most appropriate algorithm is executed for the specific use case.
