Abstract: Disclosed are methods for preparation of two pharmaceutical intermediates (I, II) of Aliskiren, said intermediates are obtained by reacting compound of formula I or II and tribromophosphorus oxide. The method replaces the method in the prior art which is using column chromatopraphy to produce the compounds I and II, and overcomes the defect that the method in the prior art hardly carry out in a large-scale industrial production. The product can be purified by recrystallization or vacuum distillation, and the chemical purity of the product is good.

Abstract: A locking wedge system for use with a load-carrying stud having a locknut (or work piece) mounted on the stud in locking relation with another work piece employs a laterally displaceable laterally tapered wedge member that is forced transversely into axial jacking relation between a pair of tapered washers so as to apply a large axial locking force against the lock nut and work piece. The tapered wedge member is forced into engagement between the pair of tapered washers by way of a transversely extending jacking screw. The jacking screw may pull or push the tapered wedge member into or out of engagement between the pair of tapered washers. A preferred wedge angle from normal to the stud is 3 degrees with an operating range from 1 degree to 10 degrees. The locking wedge system elements are selectively rotatable about the stud, for optimum operating access to the jacking screw.

A system for three-dimensional nano-photolithography includes a light source having a predetermined light wavelength, a device to be patterned, a photoresist layer of photoresponsive material photoresponsive to the predetermined light wavelength formed on the device, and a superlens device in contact with the photoresist layer. The superlens device includes a superlens layer in contact with the photoresist layer, a light permissive mask layer transparent to the predetermined light wavelength and having a layer of nanopatterned opaque features formed thereon, and an intermediate layer separating the superlens layer and the light permissive mask layer by a predetermined distance. The light source is located to radiate light at the predetermined light wavelength on the light permissive mask layer. The layer of nanopatterned opaque features includes a layer of opaque features with varying height dimensions.

The plurality of transistors is electrically coupled to the data line. The plurality of transistors is configured to cause a delay on a transition of a signal of the data line based on a delay current. The signal of the data line is configured for use in generating a signal of a control line of a memory cell of the memory macro.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein discuss an approach to implementing load-balancing across multiple monitoring servers. One such embodiment describes a network monitoring device. The network monitoring device includes an ingress port, for receiving mirrored network packets, and a number of egress ports. The egress ports are associated with a number of monitoring servers, and used to forward the mirrored network packets to the monitoring servers. A packet classifier, coupled to the ingress port, examines the mirrored network packets, and determines which of the monitoring servers should receive the packets.

Abstract: A correlation-based system for watermarking continuous digital media at the system application level. It is a post-compression process for watermarking where no a priori knowledge of the underlying compression algorithm is required. Per each compressed media frame, a current unique digital signature is generated based on the data from the current compressed frame plus the digital signature that has been previously generated. The signature thus generated is then used in conjunction with the next compressed frame to generate the next unique digital signature. All digital signatures are correlated according to the above process until a “reset” signal is issued. A new chain of correlated digital signatures is produced by the system with a pre-determined initial signature.
