  • Patent number: 11079755
Abstract: A system for autonomous or semi-autonomous operation of a vehicle is disclosed. The system includes a machine automation portal (MAP) application configured to enable a computing device to (a) display a map of a work site and (b) provide a graphical user interface that enables a user to (i) define a boundary of an autonomous operating zone on the map and (ii) define a boundary of one or more exclusion zones. • Patent number: 10874222
Abstract: A ready-to-assemble (“RTA”) sofa suitable for outdoor use comprising a seat base and a back rest that can be reconfigured between a use configuration in which the sofa has a conventional L-shaped cross-section and a shipping or storage configuration in which the sofa is arranged in a more efficiently stacked rectangular cross-section. The rectangular cross-section allows the sofa to be more efficiently stacked with other sofas during shipping or storage. In addition, the rectangular cross-section reduces the dead spaces created when an L-shaped sofa is inserted into a box that can collapse during shipping or storage. Moreover, providing a single rigid integral component, the seat base, as an internal skeletal component, provides vertical support extending substantially the height of the box at the opposing ends, provides a highly robust boxed package.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and systems directed to pattern learning, recognition, and metrology. In some particular implementations, the invention provides a flexible pattern recognition platform including pattern recognition engines that can be dynamically adjusted to implement specific pattern recognition configurations for individual pattern recognition applications. In certain implementations, the present invention provides for methods and systems suitable for analyzing and recognizing patterns in biological signals such as multi-electrode array waveform data. In other implementations, the present invention also provides for a partition configuration where knowledge elements can be grouped and pattern recognition operations can be individually configured and arranged to allow for multi-level pattern recognition schemes. In other implementations, the present invention provides methods and systems for dynamic learning of patterns in supervised and unsupervised manners.

  • Patent number: 10699013
Abstract: A device for securing USB or Firewire port interconnections includes a microcontroller comprising a processor; a first connector/lead in communication with the microcontroller and configured to be coupled with a USB or Firewire external device; and a second connector/lead in communication with the microcontroller and configured to be coupled with a protected host. An optional user interface communicates with the microcontroller. When the microcontroller detects that the external device is coupled to the first connector/lead, the processor is configured to display a prompt on the user interface for a user to initiate inputs prior to the external device being allowed to connect with the protected host; or is configured to automatically prevent the external device from being connected with the protected host if the external device is on a blacklist of devices known to have device handlers in the protected host at a BIOS level, without modifying the protected host.

  • Publication number: 20200086501
Abstract: A position verification sensor produces a discrete output for determining an accuracy of mutual mechanical positioning with a key and includes: a substratum; a housing; a receiver pad that: receives contact with the key; produces a target output in contact with the key; and produces a null output in absence of contact with the key; an aperture cap having: a cap surface; and the keyway aperture that selectively communicates the key; and a compliant member that: rests in a primary position in an absence of the key disposed on the cap surface; receives the depression force from the aperture cap; reciprocatively depresses, from the primary position to a depressed position, in response to receiving the depression force and being pushed by the depression force from the key; and reciprocatively returns, from the depressed position to the primary position, when the key is removed from contact with the aperture cap.

  • Patent number: 10466858
Abstract: Systems and methods allow a user to interact with an augmented reality device. In one implementation, a wearable device for providing a virtual menu to a user includes a display; at least one sensor configured to provide an output indicative of a viewing direction the user; and at least one processing device. The at least one processing device is configured to cause a virtual menu to be shown on the display; monitor a viewing direction of the user based on the output of the at least one sensor; determine, based on the monitored viewing direction, whether the user is looking in a direction of a selectable element of the virtual menu; determine an amount of time that the user looks in the direction of the selectable element; and cause at least one action associated with the selectable element if the amount of time exceeds a predetermined dwell time threshold.

  • Publication number: 20180333175
Abstract: A spinal procedure includes attaching a first reduction instrument to a first guide assembly and a second guide assembly. The first reduction instrument includes a fixed attachment assembly and a translating attachment assembly that cooperatively interfaces the fixed attachment assembly. The first guide assembly is attached to a first pedicle and the second guide assembly is attached to a second pedicle. The first reduction instrument is moved to reduce an orientation of the spine, while imaging a reduction of the orientation of the spine. An angle and position of the first reduction instrument is locked upon achieving a desired reduction. The spine may then be fused.

  • Publication number: 20180227073
Abstract: A technique for adaptively disrupting UAVs detects a target UAV using a camera, monitors the target UAV's communications using a directional antenna aligned with the camera, and attempts to communicate with the target UAV to request that it land, fly away, or return to launch. With the camera trained on the UAV, the directional antenna detects down-link signals from the UAV, which the UAV may employ to communicate with a ground-based controller. Control circuitry analyzes the down-link signals and generates a disrupting signal based thereon. The disrupting signal shares characteristics with the down-link signal, such as its protocol, bit rate, and/or packet length. The directional antenna transmits the disrupting signal back toward the UAV to affect the UAV's flight.
