  • Publication number: 20110315411
Abstract: A foldable implement frame is foldable about multiple axes to provide a compactly folded implement. The implement is foldable from a wide, field working position to a relatively narrow position for transport between fields, along roadways, and through field gates or storage doors. The frame is generally comprised of a center frame section that may be hitched to a prime mover, a pair of inner frame sections, and a pair of outer frame sections. The outer frame sections may be folded about their connections to the inner frame sections, and the inner frame sections are foldable about their connections to the central frame section. The central frame section may be rotated to rotate the inner and outer frame sections forward to an upright position, and the inner and outer frame sections may then be folded forward to fold the frame into a narrow position for transport and/or storage.

  • Publication number: 20110213422
Abstract: An orthopedic fixation assembly for compressing bones includes a bone anchor coupled to a washer. The bone anchor includes a shaft, where the shaft extends along a radius of curvature. The bone anchor also includes a threaded end for anchoring into bone or bone fragments. The washer includes a body and a bore extending therethrough. The washer is coupled to the bone anchor by receiving the shaft within the bore. The washer is compressed against a surface of the underlying bone causing the washer to deform and apply a compressive force on the wire body and on the bone fragments.

  • Publication number: 20110120356
Abstract: A direct drive electric seed metering system is provided for use with a row crop planter or seed planter that intakes a volume of multiple seeds from a seed hopper, draws individual seeds from the volume of multiple seeds and discharges them into a seed furrow formed in an agricultural field. The direct drive electric seed metering system includes a meter assembly having a meter housing and a seek disk rotatably mounted concentrically in the housing for singulating the seeds. A direct drive mechanism is mounted to the meter assembly for interfacing and driving the seek disk at an angular velocity which corresponds to the travel velocity of the seed planter. A single seed planter can have multiple direct drive electric seed metering systems, and each of the multiple direct drive electric seed metering systems preferably has its own prime mover to effectuate driving the seek disk.

  • Publication number: 20110125672
Abstract: A method and system for providing risk assessment and management reporting via dynamic total net worth for multi-market electronic trading. The method and system allow risk assessment management and reporting to be determined using current and historical trading losses for dynamically calculated current total net worth values for electronic trading at a trading firm, a trading firm office and a trading account. Risk thresholds are selectively and dynamically configurable for automatically displaying risk information for and automatically disabling electronic trading when risk thresholds are exceeded. Risk information is displayed in two dimensional (2D) and three dimensional (3D) display elements.

  • Publication number: 20110118739
Abstract: A method for applying compression to a joint includes providing an intramedullary fixation assembly having a proximal screw member positioned at a proximal end of the intramedullary fixation assembly and a lag screw member positioned at a distal end of the intramedullary fixation assembly. Medullary canals are drilled in a first and second bone and the medullary canals are reamed. The proximal screw member is inserted into the first bone and a drill is used create a dorsal hole in the first bone. The lag screw member is slideably coupled to the dorsal hole and to the proximal screw member and into the second medullary canal. A torque is applied to the lag screw member to apply compression to the joint.

  • Publication number: 20110100948
Abstract: A closure for a container having a container opening is provided herein. The closure includes an annular top having an inner skirt depending downwardly from an inner perimeter of the annular top and having an outer skirt depending downwardly from an outer perimeter of the annular top. An annular bottom extends radially inward from the inner skirt, and the annular bottom has defined thereon a dispensing aperture positioned adjacent to the container opening when the closure is mounted to the container. A sealing member is formed to the annular bottom for closing the dispensing aperture. The outer skirt optionally includes a hingedly flexible flap having one or more gussets dimensioned to cooperate with the anti-rotation structure of a neck finish.

  • Publication number: 20100312718
Abstract: A method and system for providing risk management, reporting and assessment for multi-market electronic trading. The method and system allow risk assessment management and reporting to be determined using current and historical trading losses over a pre-determined trading period compared against a pre-determined percentage of current and historical net worth values for electronic trading at a trading firm, a trading firm office and a trading account. Risk thresholds are selectively and dynamically configurable for automatically displaying risk information for and automatically disabling electronic trading when risk thresholds are exceeded.

  • Publication number: 20100302359
Abstract: Systems for improving unmanned aerial vehicle communication are presented. In a primary embodiment, a UAV transmits an encoded stream of video frames at a first bit-rate over a wireless air interface to a remote control station. The remote control station decodes and displays the video frames for a human user. Upon determining that the characteristics of the wireless air interface have changed, the UAV changes its codec configuration to transmit the encoded stream of video frames at a second bit-rate. The UAV and the ground control station may also use a prioritization scheme to prioritize command and control information and at least some types of video frames over other types of video frames and additional information. In this way, important communications are more likely to be received when the capacity of the wireless air interface is limited.

  • Publication number: 20100123042
Abstract: Devices, systems and methods are disclosed which relate to providing wing designs with payload integration capabilities on existing modularly assembled unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Exemplary embodiments of the present invention present a novel technique of adding payloads to existing UAVs while improving flight performance over existing techniques by maintaining a similar overall weight with improved aerodynamic properties. The technique includes using a reinforced foam core center wing with a fiberglass epoxy skin. A lightweight payload canopy cover integrates onto the center wing as an agnostic enclosure for payloads. The payload canopy cover may contain venting holes for the cooling of electronic payloads. The systems may also include common devices such as antennas, GPS, and batteries for use with a wide range of payloads.
