  • Publication number: 20240308170
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a shipping container with a corrugated medium that lines an interior pocket of the shipping container as well devices and components (e.g., corrugating rollers, corrugating machines, scoring rollers, and scoring machines) that are utilized to manufacture the shipping containers. The corrugated medium has flutes that cushion, support, and protect a product that is shipped within the shipping container. The corrugated medium may include a first portion with first flutes and a second portion with second flutes that are offset relative to the first flutes. The offset first flutes and second flutes results in peaks of the first flutes nesting within valleys of the second flutes, and peaks of the second flutes nesting within valleys of the first flutes.

  • Publication number: 20240286059
Abstract: An air amplifier utilizes a high-pressure input stream of air to accelerate a low-velocity input stream of air to provide a high-velocity, high-volume output stream of air. A coupled air amplifier array includes multiple air amplifiers which couple their respective output streams of air to one another to form a single collective output stream of air. Multiple coupled air amplifier arrays can be utilized to form coupled air amplifier array systems to provide multiple collective output streams of air which can be focused toward to an audience within a venue. The coupled air amplifier array system can be implemented within atmospheric effects systems to provide atmospheric effects, such as wind, scent, and/or temperature to provide some examples, relating to an event. These atmospheric effects systems can present these atmospheric effects to the audience to enhance the immersion of the audience as they are viewing the event.

  • Patent number: 12067130
Abstract: The disclosed exemplary embodiments include computer-implemented systems, devices, apparatuses, and processes that maintain data confidentiality in communications involving voice-enabled devices in a distributed computing environment using homomorphic encryption. By way of example, an apparatus may receive encrypted command data from a computing system, decrypt the encrypted command data using a homomorphic private key, and perform operations that associate the decrypted command data with a request for an element of data. Using a public cryptographic key associated with a device, the apparatus generate an encrypted response that includes the requested data element, and transmit the encrypted response to the device. The device may decrypt the encrypted response using a private cryptographic key and to perform operations that present first audio content representative of the requested data element through an acoustic interface.

  • Patent number: 12052363
Abstract: The disclosed exemplary embodiments include computer-implemented systems, devices, apparatuses, and processes that maintain data confidentiality in communications involving voice-enabled devices operating within a distributed computing environment. By way of example, an apparatus may receive, from a communications system across a public communications network, a request for an element of data generated by the computing system based on first audio content obtained at a device. The apparatus may obtain the requested data element and further, may generate acoustic data representative of at least a portion of the requested data element. The apparatus may also generate an encrypted response to the received request that includes the acoustic data, and transmit the encrypted response to the device across the public communications network.

  • Publication number: 20240245905
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for electrically stimulating a nerve to cause muscle contraction. In one arrangement, a plurality of electrodes is positioned in contact with skin. The electrodes allow electrical stimulation to be directed independently towards a plurality of different stimulation regions below the skin via a corresponding plurality of combinations of the electrodes. For each combination of electrodes, a test stimulation is applied using the combination of electrodes and a response to the test stimulation is measured. One or a subset of stimulation regions is selected based on the measured responses. A therapy stimulation is applied to each selected stimulation region using the combination of electrodes corresponding to the selected stimulation region.

  • Publication number: 20240230692
Abstract: A GUI is used to schedule a set of tasks for one or more robots to test samples using one or more instruments. A set of drivers are used to map instructions for the robots and instruments form a standardized format to a set of instrument/robot-specific formats. Using the standardized formats enables support for new types of robot and/or instrument to be easily added to the system. The robots and instruments generate test results from samples according to the instructions. Information about the testing may be stored in conjunction with user identifiers and other metadata to provide a verifiable audit trail across the instruments and robots.

  • Publication number: 20240201186
Abstract: Disclosed are methods, apparatus, kits and compositions for determining the absence of a systemic bacterial infection (sepsis) in patients, particularly ones presenting to hospital emergency departments (ED) as outpatients, by measurement of the host immune response using peripheral blood. The are methods, apparatus, kits and compositions can be used in mammals for diagnosing, making treatment decisions, determining the next procedure or diagnostic test, or management of patients suspected of having an infection, including those presenting with fever or other signs of systemic inflammation. More particularly, peripheral blood RNA and protein biomarkers are disclosed that are useful for distinguishing between the host immune response to bacteria compared to the host immune response to other causes of systemic inflammation including trauma, burns, autoimmune disease, asthma, anaphylaxis, arthritis, obesity and viral infections.

  • Publication number: 20240195789
Abstract: A computing device includes a direct memory access (DMA) engine coupled to a memory, a network interface, and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is to perform a secure exchange with a second computing device to negotiate a shared encryption key, based on a request for data received via the network interface from the second computing device. The DMA engine is to retrieve the data from a storage location based on an encryption command. The encryption command indicates the storage location. The DMA engine is to encrypt the data based on the shared encryption key to generate encrypted data, and store the encrypted data in the memory.
