  • Publication number: 20220075880
Abstract: The disclosed exemplary embodiments include computer-implemented systems, devices, apparatuses, and processes that maintain data confidentiality in communications involving voice-enabled devices in a distributed computing environment using homomorphic encryption. By way of example, an apparatus may receive encrypted command data from a computing system, decrypt the encrypted command data using a homomorphic private key, and perform operations that associate the decrypted command data with a request for an element of data. Using a public cryptographic key associated with a device, the apparatus generate an encrypted response that includes the requested data element, and transmit the encrypted response to the device. The device may decrypt the encrypted response using a private cryptographic key and to perform operations that present first audio content representative of the requested data element through an acoustic interface.

  • Patent number: 11266921
Abstract: An air amplifier utilizes a high-pressure input stream of air to accelerate a low-velocity input stream of air to provide a high-velocity, high-volume output stream of air. A coupled air amplifier array includes multiple air amplifiers which couple their respective output streams of air to one another to form a single collective output stream of air. Multiple coupled air amplifier arrays can be utilized to form coupled air amplifier array systems to provide multiple collective output streams of air which can be focused toward to an audience within a venue. The coupled air amplifier array system can be implemented within atmospheric effects systems to provide atmospheric effects, such as wind, scent, and/or temperature to provide some examples, relating to an event. These atmospheric effects systems can present these atmospheric effects to the audience to enhance the immersion of the audience as they are viewing the event.

  • Publication number: 20220042989
Abstract: Disclosed are methods, apparatus, kits and compositions for determining the absence of a systemic bacterial infection (sepsis) in patients, particularly ones presenting to hospital emergency departments (ED) as outpatients, by measurement of the host immune response using peripheral blood. The are methods, apparatus, kits and compositions can be used in mammals for diagnosing, making treatment decisions, determining the next procedure or diagnostic test, or management of patients suspected of having an infection, including those presenting with fever or other signs of systemic inflammation. More particularly, peripheral blood RNA and protein biomarkers are disclosed that are useful for distinguishing between the host immune response to bacteria compared to the host immune response to other causes of systemic inflammation including trauma, burns, autoimmune disease, asthma, anaphylaxis, arthritis, obesity and viral infections.

  • Patent number: 11233349
Abstract: A quick connect assembly having a male terminal with a plurality of circumferentially arrayed and elongated beams including forward-most arcuate projecting and outer diameter defining portions. A female terminal has a housing exhibiting an inner diameter inlet communicating with an interior arcuate and expanded extending recess which matches a profile defined by the outer diameter beam portions. A forwardly spring biased plug is displaceably supported within the female terminal housing and includes a forward most projecting snout portion which, upon installation of the male to female terminals, the projecting snout portion of the plug seats between the male beams, preventing unintended collapse and remove of the male beams from within the female housing.

  • Publication number: 20220009193
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a shipping container with a corrugated medium that lines an interior pocket of the shipping container as well devices and components (e.g., corrugating rollers, corrugating machines, scoring rollers, and scoring machines) that are utilized to manufacture the shipping containers. The corrugated medium has flutes that cushion, support, and protect a product that is shipped within the shipping container. The corrugated medium may include a first portion with first flutes and a second portion with second flutes that are offset relative to the first flutes. The offset first flutes and second flutes results in peaks of the first flutes nesting within valleys of the second flutes, and peaks of the second flutes nesting within valleys of the first flutes.

  • Patent number: 11207442
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for increasing liquid absorption are described. Some embodiments may include a dressing having an absorbent layer containing super-absorbent material as well as ionic-exchange media (IEM). In some embodiments, the absorbent layer may include absorbent fibers. The absorbent fibers may each include a super-absorbent core surrounded by a water-permeable layer onto which ionic-exchange media (IEM) may be grafted. As liquid comes into contact with the IEM, its ionic nature may be reduced, therefore protecting the absorbent qualities of the super-absorbent material.

  • Patent number: 11201804
Abstract: A device may detect a communication session between a user equipment and a network. The device may cause, based on detecting the communication session, a set of queries to be transmitted to a plurality of control plane nodes of the network. The device may determine, based on a set of responses associated with the set of queries, respective characteristics for corresponding control plane nodes, of the plurality of control plane nodes. The device may determine, based on the respective characteristics, scores for the corresponding control plane nodes, wherein the scores are representative of respective capabilities of the corresponding control plane nodes to be used for the communication session. The device may select, based on the scores, a control plane node, from the plurality of control plane nodes, for the communication session. The device may configure the control plane node to perform a control operation for the communication session.
