  • Publication number: 20080270524
Abstract: A computer implemented method, apparatus, and computer program product for distributing files. A configurable threshold is set. A notification of a file to upload is received. An entry for the file is created in a database. A determination as to whether the size of the file is less than the configurable threshold is made. Responsive to a determination that the size of the file is greater than or equal to the configurable threshold, the file is copied to a plurality of servers, and the entry in the database is updated by adding the locations of the plurality of servers. Responsive to a determination that the file is less than the configurable threshold, the file is stored in a storage, and the entry in the database is updated with the location of the file.

  • Publication number: 20080201093
Abstract: An NIR (near infra red) spectrum is obtained from a cereal grain sample and processed to deduce characteristics related to possible weather damage, for the purpose of assessing sample quality. In addition or alternatively, cereal grain is subjected to a compression test, for example to obtain data below the yield point of the shell of the grain, to determine state of any weather damage. An embodiment includes data processing to assess weather damage from data of NIR spectrum analysis and/or data from compression test analysis; a cross correlation is relevant where either of the NIR and compression tests alone are not sufficiently decisive.

  • Publication number: 20080039042
Abstract: Techniques for controlling operation of control loops in a receiver are described. The operation of at least one control loop is modified in conjunction with a change in operating state, which may correspond to a change in linearity state, gain state, operating frequency, antenna configuration, etc. A change in linearity state may occur when jammers are detected and may cause bias current of analog circuit blocks to be adjusted. The at least one control loop to be modified may include a DC loop, an AGC loop, etc. The operation of a control loop may be modified by disabling the control loop or changing its time constant prior to changing operating state, waiting a predetermined amount of time to allow the receiver to settle, and enabling the control loop or restoring its time constant after waiting the predetermined amount of time.

  • Publication number: 20070262817
Abstract: Techniques for operating a receiver to linearity performance and higher receive signal to noise ratio are described. The receiver includes one or more circuit blocks, e.g., a low noise amplifier (LNA), having discrete gain states. The gain states are selected based on switch points, with each switch point indicating a specific received signal level at which to switch from one gain state to another gain state. The switch points may be dynamically selected based on channel conditions, which may be characterized by the presence or absence or strength or frequency of jammers. A first set of switch points may be selected when jammers are detected, and a second set of switch points may be selected when jammers are not detected. The gain states are selected in accordance with the set of switch points selected for use.

  • Publication number: 20060042663
Abstract: Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA) and di-isopropylhydroxylamine can be used to remove iron deposits from the surfaces of closed loop systems. A closed loop system can be cleaned of iron deposits by first contacting the surface of the closed loop system having iron deposits with an aqueous solution of an oxygen scavenger; and then introducing diethylhydroxylamine, di-isopropylhydroxylamine, or mixtures thereof; into the closed loop system at a concentration sufficient to cause the iron deposits to release from the surface of the closed loop system. It can be desirable to use a filter or strainer to trap and remove the particulate iron deposits once they have been released from the surface of the closed loop system. In the alternative, a dispersant can be used to prevent released particulate iron deposits from reforming as scale.

  • Patent number: 6837032
Abstract: A lockable lift assembly for controlling the height of a mower cutting deck is provided. The assembly includes a pedal actuated system including a rockshaft extending the width of the mower frame and having plates on which the deck is carried as a change in height is either performed or maintained. Intermediate these extensions is a toothed plate which cooperates with a handle operated latching system to permit a user to fixedly control the height of the cutting deck. Joint use of the pedal and latching system enables placement of the deck in a position wherein the deck is raised above the highest heighth of cut for travel across the ground or, alternatively, in a removal position in which the deck may be securely and quickly detached from the mower.

  • Patent number: 6812902
Abstract: A disk-shaped two-antenna assembly contains a CP ring-antenna and a linear-monopole-antenna. The bottom surface of a ring-shaped dielectric member holds a ground plane. A circular radiating element is located on a top surface of the ring-shaped dielectric member. A linear radiating element is positioned coincident with a central axis of the two-antenna assembly, and a top end thereof carries a metal disk that extends perpendicular to the central axis of the two-antenna assembly. A centrally-located void lies between the ground plane and the metal disk to provide for the housing of electronic components. Metal RF shields are electrically connected to the ground plane and are located at the top portion of this void, intermediate the bottom-located ground plane and the top-located metal disk.
