Abstract: Exemplary features pertain to establishing an Exclusive Execution Environment domain that Trusted Execution Zone components are forbidden to access. In one example, a system-on-a-chip (SoC) is equipped with a Reduced Instruction Set Computing (RISC) processor along with an application DSP (ADSP) and/or Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), where the ADSP and/or GPU is configured to provide and enforce the Exclusive Execution Environment domain. By forbidding access to Trusted Execution Zone components, security can be enhanced, especially within minimally-equipped devices that do not have the resources to implement a full Trust Execution Environment, such as low-power devices associated with the Internet of Things (IoT). Among other features, the systems and methods described herein allow application clients to build exclusive execution environments and claim exclusive access to buffer objects and hardware resource groups. Method and apparatus examples are provided.

The vehicle engagement member vertically actuates relative to the base member while interfacing with a vehicle in order to lift the vehicle relative to the base member. The actuation assembly drives the vehicle engagement member relative to the base member. The lifting linkage assembly connects the actuation assembly with the vehicle engagement member. The lifting linkage assembly also includes one or more longitudinally extending links, while one or more reinforcement plates are fixed to each of the longitudinally extending links, wherein each reinforcement plate is shorter than the respective link to which it is attached.

Abstract: Various examples are provided for power quality of service optimization for microgrids. In one example, among others, a microgrid includes a smart meter configured to control supply of electric power to loads based at least in part upon energy consumption scheduling of the loads, which is based at least in part upon an effective electric generation capacity associated with the microgrid. The energy consumption scheduling can be based at least in part upon estimated power output of a sustainable energy resource of the microgrid and a load demand characterization of the loads. In another example, a system comprises a plurality of microgrids and an advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) configured to monitor operations of the microgrids and to control supply of electric power from sustainable energy resources and energy storage systems to loads of the microgrids via smart meters based at least in part upon energy consumption scheduling of the loads.

Further, this invention relates to an integration of ceramic hydroxyapatite chromatography into a combination chromatographic protocol for the removal of high molecular weight aggregates from an antibody preparation.

Abstract: Methods of securing the calculation of pairwise molecular similarity coefficients between molecules, from similarity measures that are based on 3-dimensional or 2-dimensional molecular properties and/or physicochemical properties, condensed into a fingerprint or bit-string representation, in such a way that a third party cannot deduce information about the underlying molecular structures. The apparatus and process are particularly applicable to generating secured or anonymized databases of bit-strings, so that the anonymized databases can be stored remotely from a corporation's computer system, or shared securely and confidentially with another company. The mapping key that permits the anonymized bit strings to be converted back to their original form need not be disclosed outside of the corporation. The methods also permit two companies to exchange molecular structure data securely and in a manner that permits similarity calculations to be performed within as well as between the respective databases.

Abstract: A system and method for electronically evaluating and selecting schools based on user inputs is provided. The system may include a server for receiving and processing information and preferences of a student provided by a user and databases for storing such information. The system may also receive and process information from alumni and other sources to create a profile for a school. An algorithm provided by the system may be used to provide the user a report and custom ranking of schools based on the student information and preferences, and school profiles.

Abstract: An apparatus to allow backup or alternate fluid flow routes around malfunctioning BOP control components using a remotely installed removable hydraulic hose connection. The backup fluid flow route sends pressure-regulated hydraulic fluid to a BOP operation via an isolation valve rigidly attached to the BOP, then to a hose connected to an intervention panel on the BOP and finally through a valve that isolates the primary flow route and establishes a secondary flow route to allow continued operation. To increase reliability, the backup components route from a spare BOP function and are rigidly fixed to the BOP.
