  • Publication number: 20200310120
Abstract: A light source or projector for a near-eye display includes a light source subassembly optically coupled to a waveguide concentrator. The light source subassembly may include several semiconductor chips each hosting an array of emitters such s superluminescent light-emitting diodes. The semiconductor chips may be disposed side-by-side, with their emitting sides or facets coupled to the waveguide concentrator, which provides a tight array of output light ports on a common output plane of the concentrator. The output diverging beams at the array of output light ports are coupled to a collimator, which collimates the beams and couples them to an angular scanner for scanning the collimated light beams together across the field of view of the display.

  • Publication number: 20200309380
Abstract: An oven includes a gas burner provided at a rear bottom portion of the oven and below an opening in a bottom panel of the oven. A heat exchanger is provided above the bottom panel opening such that heated air from the gas burner flows upwardly through the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is positioned in front of a fan provided at a rear wall of the oven. The fan forces air through a plurality of openings in the heat exchanger to supply heated air to an oven cavity of the oven. The gas burner flames are substantially isolated from turbulent airflow from the fan.

  • Publication number: 20200310111
Abstract: A scanning projector display includes a plurality of light engines coupled to a MEMS scanner. Each light engine includes a light source subassembly for providing a diverging light beam optically coupled to a collimator for collimating the diverging light beam. In operation, the collimated light beams of the plurality of light engines impinge onto the tiltable reflector at different angles of incidence. A controller may be operably coupled to the light source subassembly of each light engine of the plurality of light engines and the MEMS scanner for tilting the tiltable reflector of the MEMS scanner. The controller is configured to energize the light source of each light engine in coordination with tilting the tiltable reflector for displaying the image.

  • Patent number: 10718529
Abstract: Provided is a method for controlling the operation of a cooking appliance, such as an oven range. The cooking appliance includes a door with multiple spaced apart glass panels. The method uses an interlocking mechanism that interferes with the installation of at least one of the plurality of glass panels in the door if at least one of the glass panels is not installed properly. The method further uses a switch with a plunger can be installed in the door, which allows the appliance to operate only when a failsafe electrical circuit is closed corresponding to a selected position of the plunger when the door is closed. The plunger is prevented from retaining that selected position if at least one of the glass panels is improperly installed or if a top cap is not properly seated or installed above the glass panels.

  • Patent number: 10694469
Abstract: A wireless telecommunication system includes base stations for communicating with terminal devices. One or more base stations support a power boost operating mode in which a base station's available transmission power is concentrated in a subset of its available transmission resources to provide enhanced transmission powers as compared to transmission powers on these transmission resources when the base station is not operating in the power boost mode. A base station establishes an extent to which one or more base stations in the wireless telecommunications system supporting the power boost operating mode conveys an indication of this to a terminal device. The terminal device receives the indication and uses the corresponding information to control its acquisition of a base station of the wireless telecommunication system, for example by taking account of which base stations support power boosting and/or when power boosting is supported during a cell attach procedure.

  • Publication number: 20200182474
Abstract: A gas burner includes a base with a first body and a raised annular band on an upper surface of the first body. A flange is formed about an outer periphery of the first body wherein the raised annular band and the flange define a first annular recess therebetween. A first notch is formed in a lower surface of the first body and extends through the flange and communicates with the first annular recess. The first notch is adapted to accommodate spark ignitor therein. A slot is formed in the raised annular band. A first cap includes a peripheral side wall having a distal end dimensioned to be received within the first annular recess. A gap between the distal end and a bottom wall of the first annular recess when the first cap is received therein provides fluid communication between the slot and the first notch.

  • Publication number: 20200107180
Abstract: Method for providing a count indication of radio devices to a radio network, particularly in idle or in-active mode, comprising transmitting a presence message to a first base station of the radio network based on a reporting rule, which presence message indicates presence of a radio device within a dedicated coverage area of the radio network. The reporting rule may include a probability rule, wherein said presence message is transmitted from the radio device responsive to an outcome of a probability check, based on the probability rule, indicating that the radio device shall transmit the presence message. The reporting rule may also be transmitted responsive to the radio device making a cell reselection to the first cell. After receiving an acknowledgement presence message from the base station, connection setup to the network is terminated.

  • Publication number: 20190380072
Abstract: In a handover procedure of a wireless communication device (100), a source base station (110) of the handover sends a message to the wireless communication device (100). The message indicates authorization of a handover of the wireless communication device from the source base station to at least one candidate base station (120, 130), which is prepared to act as a target base station of the handover. Further, the source base station (110) instructs the wireless communication device (100) to send at least one uplink signal. The source base station (110) receives at least one report of a measurement performed by the at least one candidate base station (120, 130) on the at least one uplink signal.
