  • Patent number: 10448465
Abstract: A microwave heating system configured to heat a plurality of articles and a process for using the same is provided. The heating system includes at least two laterally-spaced parallel convey lines and two or more groups of microwave launchers configured to heat articles transported along each convey line. The groups of microwave launchers can include pairs of oppositely disposed launchers that are spaced apart from one another along the axis of convey. When the system includes multiple convey lines, adjacent launcher groups are staggered relative to one another in the convey direction. Heating articles, such as foodstuffs or medical fluids or equipment in such a system, minimize undesirable interference between launchers of adjacent groups and provide a more uniform heating field.

  • Patent number: 10402794
Abstract: Described is a technology for executing financial transactions, e.g., payment transfers, by enabling a sender to trigger a money transfer by specifying, in any communication message, a payment proxy having a particular syntax, the syntax including a currency indicator preceding one or more alphanumeric characters. The payment proxy having the syntax indicates an intent of the sender to transfer money to a recipient associated with that payment proxy. The technology can include systems and methods of transferring money by use of a payment proxy within the context of a forum (e.g., social networking platform, microblog, blog, application, etc.). Messages of users in the forum can be monitored to detect for any user's intent to transfer money to a recipient. For example, forum messages can be parsed to identify the syntax carried by a user input in a forum message.

  • Patent number: 10402946
Abstract: A system including a rotate block including an array of bit storage units for storing image data bits of a subtile of an image to be rotated, the image data bits of the subtile being arranged in a plurality of subtile rows. The rotate block is operative to load the image data bits of each subtile row of the subtile into the array according to a subtile row load direction that is selected from a plurality of load directions based at least upon a rotate operation to be performed on the image. After loading all the image data bits of the subtile into the array, the rotate block repeatedly unloads image data bits out of the array to produce a rotated subtile. The image data bits that are unloaded from the array from each unloading operation form a subtile row of the rotated subtile.

Abstract: Devices, computer-readable media, and methods for allocating a source specific multicast internet protocol address to a streaming media content are disclosed. For example, a processor of a device may receive a streaming media content, allocate a source specific multicast internet protocol address to the streaming media content for a base station of a cellular network, allocate a first broadcast channel of the base station to the streaming media content, and associate the first broadcast channel with the source specific multicast internet protocol address. The processor may further generate a manifest file, the manifest file including an identification of the streaming media content and the source specific multicast internet protocol address, transmit the manifest file via a second broadcast channel of the base station, and transmit the streaming media content via the first broadcast channel of the base station.

  • Publication number: 20190244250
Abstract: A method includes making a determination at a user device to transition the user device to a standby mode. The method includes sending a message from the user device to a server of a service provider in response to the determination, where the service provider provides a service to the user device. The method includes receiving, in response to the message, a content stream at the user device. The method includes sending video content generated from the content stream to a display device while the user device is in the standby mode. The method also includes, in response to a time in the standby mode exceeding a threshold, transmitting a second message to the server from the user device.
