  • Patent number: 12286198
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for transient fluidic coupling via reversibly couplable conduits. In one example, a method includes directing a conduit assembly to a receiving port by releasing one or more fluid streams from the conduit assembly. The method may further include fluidly coupling an internal passage of the conduit assembly to the receiving port. The internal passage may extend from the conduit assembly and along a conduit between a pair of free-floating bodies, such as between a wave engine and a tanker ship, so as to exchange one or more fluids, such as an electrolysis reactant and an electrolysis product. The fluidic coupling may be reversible, in that the conduit assembly may be detached from the receiving port to sever the fluidic coupling. In certain examples, the detaching may be actuated by releasing one or more additional fluid streams from the conduit assembly.

  • Patent number: 12286774
Abstract: A coupling system for plumbing applications including stub-ups in a poured slab. The coupling system includes a coupler and a cap. The coupler provides a glue-hub that is couplable to a stub-up. An opposite end of the coupler is enclosed by a knock-out disc that seals the end of the stub-up for pressure testing. A second glue-hub is provided beneath the knock-out disc. The cap includes a cap plate enclosing a top end thereof and is height adjustable on the coupler. A thermal expansion gap between the slab and the stub-up is provided by a sleeve positionable around the cap. The cap plate and the knock-out disc are “knocked out” to enable connection with the plumbing system and are sized to resist falling into the stub-up. An air purging valve may be installed in the coupler for pressure testing prior to removing the knock-out discs in the cap and coupler.

  • Patent number: 12288073
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for limiting the effective utilisation of an instruction fetch queue. The instruction fetch entries are used to control the prefetching of instructions from memory, such that those instructions are stored in an instruction cache prior to being required by execution circuitry while executing a program. By limiting the effective utilisation of the instruction fetch queue, fewer instructions will be prefetched and fewer instructions will be allocated to the instruction cache, thus causing fewer evictions from the instruction cache. In the event that the instruction fetch entries are for instructions that are unnecessary to the program, the pollution of the instruction cache with these unnecessary instructions can be mitigated.

  • Patent number: 12288424
Abstract: One embodiment is a system including a component for installation on a vehicle comprising a central maintenance computer (“CMC”); a configuration/maintenance module (“CMM”) associated with the component and including memory for storing component information, a sensor for detecting a condition and generating data indicative thereof; a microprocessor for processing the sensor data and updating the component information with the processing results; and a communications interface between the CMM and the CMC. The system further includes a remaining useful life (“RUL”) module associated with the component that periodically updates an RUL, the RUL module periodically updating an RUL value for the component and communicating the updated RUL value to the CMM for storage in the memory. The CMC communicates with the CMM to update the component information included in the memory based on information input to the CMC by a user or changes in a condition of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 12289386
Abstract: Some embodiments include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for high precision device synchronization of electronic devices in a shared medium. Some embodiments include a first electronic device that utilizes a combination of synchronization techniques to synchronize with a second electronic device. The first electronic device receives a first signal from the second electronic device that includes network-based synchronization data and marker data, and performs network-based synchronization with the second electronic device at a first synchronization accuracy. The first electronic device receives a second signal, and uses the marker data and phase lock synchronization to detect a frequency change of the second signal received, as well as to determine a corresponding time marker. The first electronic device updates a clock of the first electronic device based at least on the corresponding time marker, the network-based synchronization data, and the marker data.
