  • Patent number: 7739266
Abstract: The present application is directed to systems and methods for associating a geographic location with an IP address. Generally, a plurality of localized search queries of search queries received at an Internet search engine are determined, where each of the plurality of localized search queries is associated with a location. A geo tag is associated with each of the plurality of localized search queries and a subset of the plurality of localized search queries that are associated with a first IP address is identified. The subset of the plurality of localized search queries is clustered into a spatial cluster including localized search queries associated with geo tags located within a defined distance of a geo tag associated with at least one other localized search query of the cluster. A geographic location associated with a geographic center of the cluster is then associated with the first IP address.

  • Patent number: 7685119
Abstract: A system is disclosed for expanding a user query based on user learned popularity rankings. User queries often have no exact match, resulting in a user having to refine or abandon the search. The disclosed system obtains popularity rankings based on the content of a user query. The system expands the user query based on the popularity rankings. Thereafter, query results based on the expanded user query may be provided to the user. The system also regularly learns from user behavior and adapts the popularity rankings according to the learned information.

  • Publication number: 20100062453
Abstract: A method for diagnosing endometriosis in a human subject comprising the steps of detecting a test amount of an antibody that specifically binds to ME-5 (SEQ ID NO:3) polypeptide or a peptide comprising an epitope of ME-5 in a sample from the subject; and comparing the test amount with a normal range of the antibody in a control sample from a subject who does not suffer from endometriosis, whereby a test amount above the normal range provides a positive indication in the diagnosis of endometriosis.

  • Patent number: 7644098
Abstract: The present invention is directed towards systems and methods for identifying advertisements responsive to one or more historical queries generated by a given user. The method of the present invention comprises annotating a profile for a user with information associated with one or more historical queries generated by the user. The profile associated with the user is retrieved, the profile indicating one or more historical queries previously generated by the user. One or more advertisements are identified as responsive to a selected historical query maintained in the profile of the user. The one or more advertisements previously displayed to the user in response to the selected historical query are identified. The one or more advertisements identified as not previously displayed to the user are thereafter displayed.

  • Publication number: 20090242859
Abstract: A probe bar remover (10) for loosening and removing probe bars from the ground includes an elongated member (12) with an engagement end and a handling end. The elongated member (12) also includes a foot plate (18) along the elongated member (12) oriented toward the handling end. A bar engagement member (20) is coupled to the elongated member (12) at the engagement end and can include an engagement gap (22) for engaging a probe bar (15). A fulcrum (24) can be oriented along the elongated member (12), which contacts a ground surface, and a handlebar (26) is removably coupled to the handling end of the elongated member. To remove probe bars from a ground surface, the probe bar remover (10) can be engaged with an exposed portion of a probe bar (15) and a downward force is exerted on the foot plate (18) so as to at least loosen the probe bar (15) from the ground.

  • Publication number: 20080243822
Abstract: Systems and methods for associating a geographic location with an IP address are disclosed. Generally, an IP address associated with each of a plurality of browser cookies is determined, where each of the plurality of browser cookies indicate a geographic location such as a home address or business address of a user. A geo tag is associated with each of the plurality of browser cookies and a subset of the plurality of browser cookies including browser cookies associated with a first IP address is identified. The subset of the plurality of browser cookies is clustered into a spatial cluster including browser cookies associated with geo tags located within a defined distance of a geo tag of at least one other browser cookie of the cluster. A geographic location associated with a geographic center of the cluster is then associated with the first IP address.
