  • Publication number: 20170006434
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for determining device location of a user device within a venue using a wireless positioning system is provided. The method includes identifying a plurality of signal sample sets, wherein each signal sample set includes a sample location within the venue and one or more wireless signal strengths of associated wireless access points positioned at the venue, wherein the sample location is determined based on location data associated with a corresponding payment card transaction within the venue. The method also includes receiving a subject wireless signal strength sample of the wireless access points captured by the user device at an unidentified location within the venue. The method further includes determining a subject location of the user device based on the plurality of signal sample sets and the one or more subject wireless signal strength samples, and providing the subject location of the user device within the venue.

  • Publication number: 20160335568
Abstract: Systems, devices, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for utilizing group theoretic techniques to enable data exchange between a supervisory central processing unit (CPU) and a group of graphical processing units (GPUs). The CPU may be configured to utilize a tabu search metaheuristic to explore a solution space to determine an optimal solution to an optimization problem. More specifically, the CPU may determine a fragmentation of a solution space that yields multiple partitions of the solution space and may assign each partition to a respective GPU configured to calculate a computational result. The CPU may then determine a new fragmentation of the solution space based on the computational results received from the GPUs that yields new partitions of the solution space and may assign each new partition to a respective GPU configured to again generate a computational result based on its assigned new partition.

  • Publication number: 20160304275
Abstract: An ultra-strong, tear-resistant, cut-resistant, and puncture-resistant fabric article having a high shear strength or modulus is provided by weaving ribbons of flat recycled polyethylene terephthalate sheet into a fabric or bag and method of making same. The fabric article may be a bag which is formed by weaving a cylindrically shaped object, cutting the object transversely and sealing up one end to form the bag. The physical properties of the ribbon-woven bag easily accommodate holding refuse including bricks, wood with nails, glass and other refuse in a lightweight disposable bag. In an alternative embodiment, a ribbon-woven bag is overlain with sheets laminated to the exterior of the bag to provide a fluid-tight container. The fabric article may also be a blanket which is woven as a flat sheet and stitched accordingly, which can be used as a covering or protective structure.

  • Publication number: 20160068084
Abstract: The child safety seat provides a crotch belt assembly to allow the consumer to adjust the crotch belt's position and length without disassembling the child restraint. The positioner uses two tab-like abutting ends that can slide within the channels so that the positioner may be configured at different positions with respect to the seat section, allowing for quick adjustability from a rear position to a forward position and vice versa. The crotch belt runs through the positioner and is connected to the seat shell with the belt attachment. The rear position will be used for the smaller child and is locked into that position by the second abutting end. The second abutting end is depressed and the positioner is slid forward until the first abutting end engages. During this process, the length of the crotch belt will automatically adjust for proper fit for the larger child.
