  • Patent number: 8448994
Abstract: A latch assembly for connection of conduit, the assembly comprising a female portion and a male portion, wherein each of the female portion and the male portion have a shell and a connection device. The connection device of the female portion includes a connection assembly with a molded-in slot, a release button, and a raised rib or alternatively is a connection opening. The connection device of the male portion includes a cantilevered region with a ramped engagement feature or alternatively is a raised cantilevered release button. When connected the cantilevered region or button deflects to accommodate the female portion until the ramped engagement feature or button engages the molded-in slot or connection opening, thus releasing the deflection. Depressing the release button disengages the latch allowing separation of the assembly.

  • Publication number: 20130079964
Abstract: The present invention provides a communication and analysis system that can manage data operations with a vehicle centric system with a planned route path. A vehicle that is in a communications link with a network can also manage its activities based on real time, historical and predictive knowledge, without having this all knowledge processing on board. Such data processing would include a cluster analysis of geo-spatial, internal functions and operator specific requirements. The rule based system would also incorporate the use patterns of a specific vehicle, or a specific user. A vehicle operator or vehicle multiple operators could share or upload information that would assist with efficient data processing and display, including fuel conservation and time management. Cluster weighting patterns can be assigned based on activities as efficient operation, safe travel and navigation.

  • Publication number: 20130046554
Abstract: Methods for delivering a drug to a patients in need of the drug, while restricting access to the drug by patients for whom the drug may be contraindicated are disclosed. The methods are of the type in which prescriptions for the drug are filled by a pharmacy only after a computer readable storage medium has been consulted to retrieve a prescription approval code. Embodiments are provided wherein the patients are assigned to risk groups based upon the risk that taking the drug will lead to an adverse side effect, and certain additional information, such as periodic surveys and diagnostic tests probative of the ongoing risk of the side effect developing are obtained before prescriptions for the drug are approved.

  • Publication number: 20130026856
Abstract: An electrical disconnect assembly with separate disconnecting device compartment, such that safety handle mechanism does not provide access to the disconnecting device or any energized parts or conductors consisting of multiple compartments arranged so as to allow service of the load compartment without exposure to line voltages. The assembly includes a plurality of compartments with the load compartment having a lockable handle operator that that is interlocked with its corresponding compartment door. The handle operators are mechanically connected to the disconnecting devices via flexible cables or mechanical linkage. A key feature/distinction of this invention is that the disconnecting devices is remote mounted from the overcurrent protective device, so that when the handle operator is switched to the OFF position there are no components (e.g. disconnecting device and/or its conductors) within the load compartment that remain energized by line voltage.

  • Publication number: 20130018781
Abstract: A network operator intermediates a cashless transaction by sending a payment device issuer an outbound clearing data file enriched with cleansed merchant data. Issuers that choose to participate in the merchant data cleansing service will be provided with the cleansed, and optionally augmented, merchant information. Providing this data to the issuer could be used to help reduce costs associated with “do not recognize” calls by cardholders, disputed charges, and charge-backs. With cleansed data provided in the clearing record, a device holder would be given access to this cleansed information about the merchant where a transaction took place through their statement. The present disclosure also provides for augmenting the clearing record data to include merchant-specific add-on and/or aggregate data not presently included in the transaction clearing record, yet useful to the issuer both in form and content.

  • Patent number: 8353559
Abstract: An inclination adjustment mechanism for a base of safety seat includes a base, a heelpiece and a spring-loaded press button. The base has one end formed with a plurality of positioning indents, and a upper surface for supporting a safety seat. The heelpiece is pivoted to the base and formed with a protruded portion for selectively engaging with one of the positioning indents thereby to keep the base in a selected inclination position. The spring-loaded press button is operatively connected to one end of the heelpiece for releasing the protruded portion from the positioning indents, so as to change the selected inclination position of the base by pressing the spring-loaded press button and moving one end of the base relative to the heelpiece.

  • Patent number: 8322788
Abstract: An infant safety seat with an adjustable accommodating space includes a multi-layer cushioning insert which is detachably insertable into an infant safety seat for accommodating an infant in different stages of growth with different sizes. The multi-layer cushioning insert comprises a first cushioning part and a second cushioning part both may detachably to overlap each other and connect into the accommodating space to provide the necessary support for keeping an infant in proper postural position. The first cushioning part includes a U-shaped head cushion part, U-shaped body cushion part and U-shaped leg cushion part for restricting the side moving of the infant. Further, for accommodating a smaller infant, the second cushioning part can be detachably overlapped onto the first cushioning part for further reducing the side moving space and upright moving space of the baby in the infant safety seat.
