  • Patent number: 11089997
Abstract: This document discusses, among other things, systems and methods for managing pain in a patient. A system may include sensors to sense physiological or functional signals, and a pain analyzer that generates a pain score using the sensed physiological or functional signals and a fusion model. The system includes a calibration module that calibrates the fusion model based on measurements from the sensed physiological or functional signals and a reference pain quantification corresponding to multiple pain intensities. A pain score may be generated using the calibrated fusion model. The system can additionally include a neurostimulator that controls the delivery of pain therapy by adjusting one or more stimulation parameters based on the pain score.

  • Publication number: 20210199011
Abstract: Rotary positive displacement machines with trochoidal geometry that comprise a helical rotor that undergoes planetary motion within a helical stator are described. The rotor can have a hypotrochoidal cross-section, with the corresponding stator cavity profile being the outer envelope of the rotor as it undergoes planetary motion, or the stator cavity can have an epitrochoidal cross-section with the corresponding rotor profile being the inner envelope of the trochoid as it undergoes planetary motion. In some multi-stage embodiments, the rotor-stator geometry remains substantially constant along the axis of the rotary machine. In other multi-stage embodiments, the rotor-stator geometry varies along the axis of the rotary machine.

Abstract: Rotary positive displacement machines based on trochoidal geometry, that comprise a helical rotor that undergoes planetary motion within a helical stator are described. In some embodiments, the geometry is offset in a manner that provides structural and/or operational advantages in the rotary machine.

  • Publication number: 20210128921
Abstract: This document discusses, among other things, systems and methods for managing pain in a subject. A system may include one or more sensors configured to sense from the subject information corresponding to emotional reaction to pain, such as emotional expression. The emotional expression includes facial or vocal expression. A pain analyzer circuit may generate a pain score using signal metrics of facial or vocal expression extracted from the sensed information. The pain score may be output to a user or a process. The system may additionally include a neurostimulator that can adaptively control the delivery of pain therapy by automatically adjusting stimulation parameters based on the pain score.

  • Publication number: 20210072953
Abstract: In response to a user interacting with a tangible peripheral assistant control device (e.g., depressing a button of the device), causing an automated assistant to perform one or more actions. The action(s) performed can be based on input previously provided by the user in configuring the peripheral assistant control device. The action(s) performed in response to interaction with the peripheral assistant control device can vary based on one or more conditions, such as which user is currently active, where the peripheral assistant control device is currently located (which can optionally be inferred based on which of multiple assistant computing devices the button is paired with), and/or the current state of one or more smart devices and/or other devices (e.g., as determined based on a device topology). A utility of the peripheral assistant control device can be automatically extended beyond what was specifically requested by a user during configuration.

  • Publication number: 20210042845
Abstract: A damage assessment module operating on a computer system automatically evaluates a roof, estimating damage to the roof by analyzing a point cloud of a roof. The damage assessment module identifies individual shingles from the point cloud and detects potentially damaged areas on each of the shingles. The damage assessment module then maps the potentially damaged areas of each shingle back to the point cloud to determine which areas of the roof are damaged. Based on the estimation, the damage assessment module generates a report on the roof damage.

  • Publication number: 20210042846
Abstract: A damage assessment module operating on a computer system automatically evaluates a property, estimating damage to the property by analyzing a point cloud of a property. The damage assessment module identifies individual point clusters or segments from the point cloud and detects potentially damaged areas of the property surface by identifying outlier points in the point clusters. The damage assessment module may be used to determine the financial cost of the damage and/or determine whether the property should be replaced or repaired. In addition to eliminating the need for an estimator to visit the property in person, the damage assessment module improves the consistency and accuracy associated with estimating damage to a property.

  • Patent number: 10905883
Abstract: Methods and systems for selecting electrical stimulation parameters for an electrical stimulation device implanted in a patient can use an iterative process for identifying electrodes for stimulation, as well as suitable stimulation parameters. The process begins with an initial set of electrode combinations to identify regions of the nerve or other tissue for stimulation. This leads to selection of other electrode combinations to test, followed by the selection of multiple electrode groups (which can include three or more electrodes) for stimulation.

  • Publication number: 20210025392
Abstract: Sealing in rotary positive displacement machines based on trochoidal geometry that comprise a helical rotor that undergoes planetary motion within a helical stator is described. Seals can be mounted on the rotor, the stator, or both. In some embodiments, the geometry is offset in a manner that provides advantages with respect to sealing in the rotary machine. In multi-stage embodiments, the rotor-stator geometry remains substantially constant or varies along the axis of the rotary machine.

  • Publication number: 20200396196
Abstract: A user interface for email users which calls attention to one or more categories of emails in different ways. In some species, at least three categories are used: branded senders with Truemarks; white list buddies; and fraudulent emails which are either not from the domain they purport to be from or in which the content was tampered. The preferred embodiment authenticates emails from branded senders and displays them with the sender's Truemark. Branded sender emails have their Truemarks displayed in the sender column of a list view in the preferred embodiment. In a preferred embodiment, white list senders have either an icon or other graphic or photo they choose displayed to the left or right of the sender column with their name in the sender column. In a preferred embodiment, fraudulent emails have a fraud icon displayed to the left or right of the sender column with a warning in the sender column. Antiphishing processing is also disclosed.
