  • Publication number: 20200364184
Abstract: Techniques described and suggested herein include distributed deletion request processing and verification. For example, incident to migration of original data from a first data store to a second data store, verifications and confirmations related to removing the original data from the first data store may be performed so as to ensure the integrity of the original data represented on the second data store prior to removing the actual original data on the first data store. In some embodiments, the verifications and confirmations performed in connection with a deletion request may be apportioned to multiple entities, each of which may not fully trust the others. As a result, in some embodiments, a given deletion request may only be fulfilled if all of the entities involved in the verification process individually provide authorization to execute the deletion request.

  • Patent number: 10776203
Abstract: A data storage service stores a dataset on a set of storage nodes in accordance with a first encoding. A set of shards constituting quorum, and one or more additional shards, are stored on the storage nodes. The data storage system determines to store the dataset according to a second encoding, in which the second encoding has fewer total shards. The data storage system reconfigures the storage of the dataset in accordance with the second encoding, such that the reconfigured storage comprises subsets of shards from the first encoding that were not re-encoded in forming the second encoding.

  • Patent number: 10740987
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system for visualizing nonconformance data for a physical object. An augmented reality application in a portable computing device plots, in a defined coordinate cube, points corresponding to nonconformance locations on the physical object. The augmented reality application determines a sub-set of the points plotted that correspond to a region of the physical object visible in an image of the region of the physical object acquired by the portable computing device at a position of the portable computing device, where the sub-set of the points exclude nonconformance locations occluded from view by a physical object structure of the physical object in the image. The augmented reality application displays the nonconformance data for the sub-set of the points visible in the image in association with a sub-set of the nonconformance locations for the physical object in the image displayed on a display system in the portable computing device.

  • Publication number: 20200196915
Abstract: In an implementation of the disclosed subject matter, a device may emit a first emission sequence of infrared radiation at a subject, and capture a first reflected sequence of infrared radiation reflected from the subject. The first emission sequence may be compared to the first reflected sequence, and, based on the comparison, a sequence of variations may be determined. The sequence of variations may be compared to signal pattern stored in a sleep profile for the subject. The subject may be determined to have exhibited sleep behavior based on the comparison of the sequence of variations to the signal pattern stored in the sleep profile. In response to determining the subject has exhibited sleep behavior, the device may capture a second reflected sequence of radiation reflected from the subject. A breathing rate of the subject and/or a heart rate of the subject may be determined based on the second reflected sequence.
