  • Publication number: 20220353365
Abstract: A disconnection of a client device is disconnected during a multi-participant communication, such as a call or a conference. An indication of the disconnection is transmitted to the client device to cause an agent at the client device to record media locally at the client device. The media recorded by the agent at the client device based on the indication of the disconnection is later received and included within a recording of the communication. For example, a gap of the recording in which the disconnection occurred may be identified, such as by performing a comparison of media within the recording to identify a start time of the gap and an end time of the gap. The media is then inserted within a portion of the recording of the multi-participant communication corresponding to the gap.

  • Patent number: 11486803
Abstract: Various embodiments include methods and systems to dilute a sampled particle-laden aerosol stream in a recirculating type of aerosol diluter system. In one embodiment, a system to dilute a sampled aerosol stream includes an aerosol sample inlet. A primary diluter device includes a first inlet to receive the aerosol stream and a second inlet to receive a filtered portion of the aerosol stream and combining the filtered portion with an additional sampled aerosol stream. A flow diverter device splits at least the sampled aerosol stream into a first portion of the sampled aerosol stream and a remaining portion of the sampled aerosol stream. A filter receives the remaining portion of the sampled aerosol stream and provides a filtered aerosol stream to the second inlet of the primary diluter device. Other methods and apparatuses are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11483427
Abstract: Audio qualities of a call and of a call recording are identified and compared to authenticate the call recording as a true representation of the call. A call is enabled between two or more participants, and the call is recorded to generate a call recording. The call recording is authenticated based on a match between information determined during the call and information determined during the call recording. In some cases, the call recording is authenticated based on a match between audio scores for the call recording and audio scores for the call. In some cases, the call recording is authenticated based on a match between audio watermarks included within the call recording and audio watermarks included within the call. An indication of the authentication is then output, such as for further processing or display.

  • Patent number: 11466970
Abstract: A tool, such as a tape measure, including a spring-based retraction system is shown. Various spring-based retraction system embodiments are configured to decrease the size occupied by the spring within the tape measure housing, which consequently reduces tape measure housing size providing a more compact tape measure. Various spring-based retraction system embodiments are configured to control retraction of the tape measure in a manner that reduces whip or otherwise controls tape blade retraction. Some retraction system embodiments utilize a reduction gear train, and others utilize a compression spring and a transmission system that converts rotational movement of the tape reel to axial movement, which compresses the spring.

  • Publication number: 20220247860
Abstract: Voice and video features of a software platform are integrated to enable customization of software services of the software platform on a customer-basis. Routing rules are defined to route calls to certain phone numbers or extensions to certain software services. Thereafter, when a call is received via a telephony system associated with the software platform, a routing rule customized for the software platform is identified based on information signaled with the call, such as a phone number or extension dialed to place the call. A software service is determined based on the routing rule, and the phone is connected with the software system that provides the software service.

Abstract: Voice and video features of a software platform are integrated to enable customization of software services of the software platform on a customer-basis. Routing rules are defined to route calls to certain phone numbers from certain software services. Thereafter, when an outbound call is initiated by a software service, the call is received via a telephony system associated with the software platform, a routing rule customized for the software platform is identified based on information signaled with the call, such as an identifier associated with the software service. A phone number is determined based on the routing rule, and the outbound call reporting the determined phone number is delivered to a destination phone number.

  • Publication number: 20220248204
Abstract: A software platform includes emergency event processing functionality for detecting and mapping emergency event occurrences. The emergency event processing includes device location registration functionality for allowing operators of the software platform to register locations of their devices. Information associated with the operator-entered location information is stored alongside network device information. When an emergency call is placed by a device registered with the software platform, the software platform identifies network device information for the device placing the emergency call and searches records generated based on the operator-indicated device locations. A location determined thereby is then signaled to a public safety answering point. This automated signaling can improve an emergency response by directing dispatched responders to a specific location verified by the operator of the device, rather than an assumed location specified by an administrator which may not actually be accurate.

  • Publication number: 20220247862
Abstract: A software platform includes emergency event processing functionality for detecting and mapping emergency event occurrences. The emergency event processing includes call path processing for concurrently routing an emergency call from a device registered with the software platform for a customer thereof to a public safety access point and to a monitoring device of the customer. The concurrent routing enables an operator of the monitoring device to join the emergency call, for example, by monitoring the call to determine how to notify other operators of the customer of the subject emergency event or by participating in the call to assist in the emergency event response. The concurrent routing may further automate, and therefore expedite, the signaling of an emergency event to others at the location of the emergency event, such as to prevent further risk of harm.

  • Publication number: 20220248203
Abstract: A software platform includes emergency event processing functionality for detecting and mapping emergency event occurrences. The emergency event processing includes location mapping functionality for building a set of information associated with locations of devices registered with the software platform. Operators of the devices are prompted to input or verify device location information, which may be determined based on network devices through which those devices connect to access a network. The location information may be one or more of a street address, building identifier, floor identifier, suite identifier, or room identifier. When an emergency call is placed by a device registered with the software platform, the software platform uses the map of locations to determine a device location and signals it to a public safety answering point. The automated signaling of the mapped location information can improve an emergency response by directing dispatched responders to a specific location.
