  • Publication number: 20230286675
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for high fidelity long-duration autonomous spacecraft navigation relative to a planet's surface and measuring the dynamics of the planet. For a planet like Earth, embodiments of the present disclosure can be used to estimate the unpredictable components of Earth's orientation with respect to the inertial frame. Embodiments of the present disclosure further enable autonomous landmark navigation by providing systems and methods for satellites to autonomously recognize landmarks, using, for example, multiple computer vision approaches to recognize multiple types of landmarks.

  • Patent number: 11754902
Abstract: Onboard EC window controllers are described. The controllers are configured in close proximity to the EC window, for example, within the IGU. The controller may be part of a window assembly, which includes an IGU having one or more EC panes, and thus does not have to be matched with the EC window, and installed, in the field. The window controllers described herein have a number of advantages because they are matched to the IGU containing one or more EC devices and their proximity to the EC panes of the window overcomes a number of problems associated with conventional controller configurations. Also described are self-meshing networks for electrochromic windows.

  • Patent number: 11751731
Abstract: A stabilized toilet seat and toilet bowl that operates to prevent the toilet seat, when placed in a parallel orientation relative to the rim of a toilet bowl, from moving laterally or diagonally. The stabilized toilet seat and toilet bowl includes an interlocking system integral with both the toilet seat and the toilet bowl which automatically engages whenever the toilet seat is hinged into the parallel orientation without placing any restriction on the toilet seat's hinging movement into or out of the parallel orientation. A locking protrusion integral with the toilet seat and a locking slot integral with the toilet bowl may form the interlocking system.

  • Patent number: 11746485
Abstract: A traffic barrel deploying and retrieving apparatus comprises a roller deck mounted on the tailgate of a flatbed utility truck. An aft-facing cage and a forward-facing cage are appended to the ends of the roller deck. The cages have proximal and distal walls each spaced apart by a gap into which a traffic barrel is received. The aft-facing cage stabilizes a barrel dropped into it as the barrel is left behind by the moving truck. The forward-facing cage includes swing arms and a pivotable and elevatable paddle whereby an operator uses a first swing arm to tip the barrel forward so that the paddle delves beneath it so that a second swing arm sweeps the barrel onto the paddle. The apparatus then elevates the paddle to the level of the roller deck so the retrieves barrel may be brought aboard the truck bed.

  • Patent number: 11698250
Abstract: Vehicle alignment systems and methods are disclosed which operate based on a calculation of “drive direction,” or the direction in which a vehicle is moving. Since a vehicle can be assumed to be a rigid body, each wheel has the same drive direction. Consequently, an alignment parameter of one wheel can be compared to the same parameter of another wheel by equating their drive direction, eliminating the need for the aligner to “see” both sides of the vehicle at the same time. Embodiments include a system having one or more cameras on a fixture carrying a calibration element for an ADAS system, and one or more targets placed on the vehicle to measure the drive direction of the vehicle. The drive direction is assumed to be parallel to the vehicle thrust line and can be used as the line for orientation of the fixture to the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20230175907
Abstract: A capacitance diaphragm gauge (CDG) assembly includes a CDG sensor positioned within a vacuum enclosure, which is maintained at a vacuum. The CDG sensor generates sensor signals responsive to a pressure of an applied gas. The vacuum enclosure provides thermal insulation around the CDG sensor. The CDG sensor is maintained at a selected operating temperature using an internal heater positioned on the CDG sensor. The internal heater is responsive to external heater control signals. The temperature of the CDG sensor is monitored using an internal temperature sensor mounted on the CDG sensor. The temperature sensor generates a temperature signal. The vacuum enclosure includes an end cap that seals the vacuum enclosure. Connectors positioned through the end cap communicate the sensor signals, the heater control signals and the temperature signals through the end cap. The connectors are hermetically sealed to the end cap to maintain the vacuum within the vacuum enclosure.

  • Publication number: 20230161213
Abstract: Aspects of this disclosure concern controllers and control methods for applying a drive voltage to bus bars of optically switchable devices such as electrochromic devices. Such devices are often provided on windows such as architectural glass. In certain embodiments, the applied drive voltage is controlled in a manner that efficiently drives an optical transition over the entire surface of the electrochromic device. The drive voltage is controlled to account for differences in effective voltage experienced in regions between the bus bars and regions proximate the bus bars. Regions near the bus bars experience the highest effective voltage.

  • Patent number: 11651494
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses (including systems and devices), including computer-implemented methods for segmenting, correcting and/or modifying a three-dimensional (3D) model of a subject's oral cavity to determine individual components such as teeth, gingiva, tongue, palate, etc., that may be selective and/or collectively digitally manipulated. In some implementations, artificial intelligence uses libraries of labeled 2D images and 3D dental models to learn how to segment a 3D dental model of a subject's oral cavity using 2D images, height map and/or other data and projection values that relate the 2D images to the 3D model. As noted herein, the dental classes can include a variety of intra-oral and extra-oral objects and can be represented as binary values, discrete values, a continuum of height map data, etc. In some implementations, several dental classes are predicted concurrently.
