  • Patent number: 11381591
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to information security by identifying unique or related factors in common between individuals subject to a common threat vector. Data mining and data acquisition of public and non-public user information is performed to prevent, disrupt, and/or address criminal, cyber, and fraudulent threats. The information can be normalized into template(s) to align information across disparate datasets and enable efficient storage of the big data into appropriate fields to be tracked. The information can be stored in data warehouse(s) or in multidimensional data structure(s) for investigation if a threat vector against a group of individuals is detected. The multidimensional data can be analyzed to identify direct connections, common connecting entities, and/or connectivity clusters between individuals who were attacked or who may be attacked in the future.

  • Patent number: 11378576
Abstract: Viruses and other bioagents are of high medical and biodefense concern and their detection at concentrations well below the threshold necessary to cause health hazards continues to be a challenge with respect to sensitivity, specificity, and selectivity. Ideally, assays for accurate and real time detection of viral agents and other bioagents would not necessitate any pre-processing of the analyte, which would make them applicable for example to bodily fluids (blood, sputum) and man-made as well as naturally occurring bodies of water (pools, rivers). We describe herein a robust biosensor that combines the sensitivity of surface acoustic waves (SAW) generated at a frequency of 325 MHz with the specificity provided by antibodies and other ligands for the detection of viral agents.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process and apparatus for quantifying solid residue on a sample. The process includes using a solid substrate and an aerosolizing device, adding a solid material to the aerosolizing device, forming a particle cloud of solid particles, wherein at least 1% of the mass concentration of solid particles have a mass median aerodynamic particle diameter up to about 10 ?m, thus applying the solid particles to the solid substrate(s) to form treated substrate(s), maintaining at a temperature of from about 30 to about 120° C. for at least a portion of the process, and removing a portion of solid particles from the treated substrate(s), and analyzing said at least one sample. The present invention further comprises an apparatus for applying solid particles to a substrate. The process can be used, for example, to analyze the dirt pickup resistance of a solid sample.

  • Patent number: 11314139
Abstract: Onboard EC window controllers are described. The controllers are configured in close proximity to the EC window, for example, within the IGU. The controller may be part of a window assembly, which includes an IGU having one or more EC panes, and thus does not have to be matched with the EC window, and installed, in the field. The window controllers described herein have a number of advantages because they are matched to the IGU containing one or more EC devices and their proximity to the EC panes of the window overcomes a number of problems associated with conventional controller configurations. Also described are self-meshing networks for electrochromic windows.

  • Patent number: 11297804
Abstract: The storm proof bird feeder may comprise a feed dispensing tube, a feeding plate, a floating collar, and a seed reservoir. The storm proof bird feeder may be a feeding station adapted to feed birds. The feed dispensing tube may dispense bird seed from the seed reservoir onto the feeding plate from whence the bird seed may be consumed. A gap height of a seed gap between the bottom of the feed dispensing tube and the feeding plate may be adjustable such that the gap height may be changed in correlation with the size of the bird seed being dispensed. The adjustment of the gap height and the use of the floating collar surrounding the feed dispensing tube may improve the operation of the storm proof bird feeder in adverse weather conditions.

  • Patent number: 11257090
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a message processing platform for enhanced phishing message detection. A computing platform may receive a first message from a first source entity, where the first message was flagged as potentially malicious through selection of a malicious message button in a mobile banking application, and where the first message includes content from the first source entity pretending to be a second source entity different than the first source entity. Using one or more machine learning algorithms, the computing platform may parse the first message to identify the second source entity. The computing platform may identify an enterprise security system associated with the second source entity, and may generate a second message that includes the first message as an attachment and indicates that the first message was flagged as potentially malicious. Subsequently, the computing platform may send, to the enterprise security system, the second message.

  • Patent number: 11194217
Abstract: Certain embodiments are directed to control methods, window controllers, and uninterruptible power supplies for determining tinting instructions for optically switchable windows to reduce power usage at a site during a reduced power event. In some cases, reduced power operations are initiated by a window controller upon receipt of a trigger signal from an uninterruptible power supply sent when it detects a power loss. In some cases, tinting instructions are based on the remaining charge left on the uninterruptible power supply. In some cases, reduced power operations are delayed for a period of time.
