  • Patent number: 7661599
Abstract: A method of providing an image on a media having a image-receiving layer and a protective overlayer, comprising the steps of providing an image on the image-receiving and providing machine-readable indicia on said protective overlayer by varying the temperature of a thermal head used to apply the protective overlayer.

  • Publication number: 20090128403
Abstract: A method, device and system for determining a receiver location using weak signal satellite transmissions. The invention involves a sequence of exchanges between an aiding source and a receiver that serve to provide aiding information to the receiver so that the receiver's location may be determined in the presence of weak satellite transmissions. With the aiding information, the novel receiver detects, acquires and tracks weak satellite signals and computes position solutions from calculated pseudo ranges despite the inability to extract time synchronization date f, 'n the weak satellite signals. The invention includes as features, methods and apparatus for the calibration of a local oscillator, the cancellation of cross correlations, a Doppler location scheme, an ensemble averaging scheme, the calculation of almanac aiding from a table of orbit coefficients, absolute time determination, and a modified search engine.

  • Patent number: 7516791
Abstract: An apparatus for providing zonal isolation in a wellbore includes a plurality of interlocking sealing elements having anchor elements at the opposing ends. Each anchor element sealingly engages a wellbore tubular whereas the interlocking sealing elements do not engage any portion of wellbore therebetween. In one exemplary application utilizes a wellhead and lubricator positioned over a wellbore under pressure and a conveyance device for conveying equipment into the wellhead. The first anchor, the second anchor and the plurality of interlocking sealing elements are separately conveyed into the wellbore with the conveyance device and sequentially assembled in the wellbore to provide zonal isolation.

  • Publication number: 20090025299
Abstract: An entryway for disposition in a door opening of a building includes a threshold and a corner sealing member mounted in the door opening between the building and the threshold. The threshold has a bottom facing downwardly and a back extending upwardly from the bottom. The corner sealing member has a middle portion disposed partially below the bottom of the threshold, a first vertical portion extending upwardly from the middle portion adjacent the threshold, and a second vertical portion extending upwardly from the middle portion transversely from the first vertical portion. The back of the threshold defines a recess and the second vertical portion of the corner sealing member is disposed in the recess to allow for adequate sealing between the threshold and the corner sealing member and to allow for proper placement of the threshold in the door opening without interference from the corner sealing member.

  • Publication number: 20080309497
Abstract: A method of attaching an RFID tag to a component comprises locating the RFID tag on or in a section of a component, applying an ultrasonic welding process to melt a portion of the housing and a portion of the component contacting the housing and allowing the component and the RFID tag to cool to form a weld therebetween. There is also described a comprising an RFID tag for identification wherein the RFID tag is ultrasonically welded to a section of the component. The RFID tag has a housing encapsulating control electronics and an antenna, the RFID tag being located on or in the section of the component, and wherein a portion of the housing and a portion of the component contacting the housing have a weld therebetween.
