    Abstract: A medical bandaging product, including a sleeve formed of moisture-impervious material and sealable to prevent entry of moisture, and a medical material positioned in the sleeve and sealed therein against entry of moisture until use. The medical material is a substrate having two marginal areas of relatively lower modulus yarns and/or a more open knitted structure to provide reduced abrasion against the skin. A reactive system on the substrate remains stable when maintained in substantially moisture-free conditions and hardens upon exposure to sufficient moisture to form a rigid, self supporting structure. A soft, flexible protective material covers at least one of the major faces of the substrate along its length to provide a cushioning barrier between the substrate and the skin of a patient when the material is in use.

A soft, flexible protective wrapping encloses the substrate along its length for providing a cushioning barrier interposed between the substrate and a patient when the medical bandage material is in use.

    Abstract: A self-returning horizontal sign system mounts to an associated structure. The system sign includes an upper rail having front and rear, parallel, spaced apart tracks and a lower rail having front and rear, parallel, spaced apart tracks. A pair of panels extend between and span the upper and lower rails. Each panel has a carrier assembly mounted to an upper region thereof for cooperation with a respective front or rear track of the upper rail. The carrier assemblies have at least two rollers that are carried in the upper rail. The panels each move between an open position and a closed position. A closure formed as a pull box is associated each panel and includes a spool having a cable wrapped around it. The spool is rotatable to retract and extract the cable from about the spool. The closure includes a tension bias element operably connected to the spool to bias the spool to retract the cable.

    Abstract: An active moisture control barrier is provided which comprises a layer of shape memory polymer and a heating arrangement associated with the layer of shape memory polymer. The barrier may be used to provide an active humidity controlled space having an enclosure with walls to separate an interior of the enclosure from an environment surrounding the enclosure. An opening in one of the walls allows communication between the interior of the enclosure with the environment. A layer of shape memory polymer is provided at the opening to isolate the interior of the enclosure from the environment. A control may be provided for the heating arrangement to allow for a heating of the layer to a level as controlled or set by a user. An air passage conduit may extend from the interior of the enclosure through a zone of relatively higher water vapor pressure.
