  • Patent number: 11545123
Abstract: Techniques have been developed to facilitate (1) the capture and pitch correction of vocal performances on handheld or other portable computing devices and (2) the mixing of such pitch-corrected vocal performances with backing tracks for audible rendering on targets that include such portable computing devices and as well as desktops, workstations, gaming stations, even telephony targets. Implementations of the described techniques employ signal processing techniques and allocations of system functionality that are suitable given the generally limited capabilities of such handheld or portable computing devices and that facilitate efficient encoding and communication of the pitch-corrected vocal performances (or precursors or derivatives thereof) via wireless and/or wired bandwidth-limited networks for rendering on portable computing devices or other targets.

  • Patent number: 11504885
Abstract: A method for cooling a mold used in the production of plastic parts is described. A capillary feeds liquid carbon dioxide to a channel present in the mold typically used in making plastic parts having thin gaps or thin open sections in the plastic part. The channel will be approximately the same size as the inner diameter of the capillary but will increase in size either stepwise or progressively as it passes through the mold, particularly at the location where cooling is desired therefore providing more effective cooling to the mold and slides and lifters present therein.

  • Patent number: 11508414
Abstract: A cooling system for cooling a set of components in a compute module and an array of storage devices in a storage module, the array of storage devices comprising rows and columns. The storage module is wider than the compute module to accommodate a larger backplane. The backplane has large vertical vent openings for accommodating connectors of storage devices connecting to the backplane. Pairs of divider walls positioned between adjacent columns of storage devices form large channels for increased airflow between columns of storage devices and reduced airflow between adjacent rows of storage devices. The design allows for increased cooling performance and reduced acoustic energy (noise).

  • Patent number: 11458241
Abstract: Implementations described herein include a system for guiding medical waste fluid into a medical waste collection canister. The system includes a manifold and a filter. The manifold includes a top surface and a sidewall extending from the top surface in a first direction. The top surface and the sidewall define an interior chamber of the manifold. The top surface includes an inlet port and a vacuum port disposed therein. The inlet port connects to a source of medical waste fluid and the vacuum port connects to a vacuum source. The manifold can be formed from a first polymer. A filter is positioned within the interior chamber of the manifold and immediately upstream of the vacuum port so as to filter air flowing into the vacuum port. The filter extends away from the top surface of the manifold in the first direction and the filter is formed from a second polymer.
