  • Patent number: 10535028
Abstract: Method, system, and computer program product for simulating the layout and flow of a manufacturing facility. An initial facility layout concept and a baseline input data set are received which define placement and movement of virtual objects within a virtual facility model. At least one of several analyses is performed based on the initial facility layout concept and the baseline input data set. An event flow analysis that outputs timing for movement of the objects from the initial positions may be performed. A geometric flow analysis that outputs interactions between the objects resulting from the movements from the initial positions may be performed. An ergonomic analysis that outputs human postures and motions resulting from interactions with objects may be performed. A simulated flow model for the manufacturing facility is generated. A three-dimensional virtual environment of the simulated flow model is generated and output for display.

  • Patent number: 10519887
Abstract: The present invention is one in which an off board Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor is used to diagnose the internal combustion engine. The MAF sensor is connected to the air induction system of the engine. The sensor is then powered from the vehicles battery. The MAF sensor is designed for lower air flow rates produced from the engine such as; crank, idle, and light load. The sensor creates an output voltage that is proportional to the volumetric air flow of each cylinder entering the engine. This MAF voltage output signal is then used to diagnose engine pumping issues.

  • Patent number: 10496509
Abstract: Systems and methods that may be implemented to monitor and record (store) information related to environmental conditions, operating conditions and/or events to which a battery-powered information handling system has been exposed while the battery powered information handling system is not powered. In one embodiment this stored environmental, system operating and/or event information may be made available to one or more system programmable integrated circuits at a following system restart or operating system (OS) boot. Such stored information may be used, for example, to determine one or more actions during a subsequent system restart or OS reboot, and/or to better enable root cause analysis of no-POST (power on self-test) type failures.

  • Patent number: 10491014
Abstract: A computer-implemented method extends the time until the battery reaches an over-discharged state of an information handling system during storage. The method comprises determining if a first battery parameter is outside an associated first battery parameter specification. When the first battery parameter is outside the associated first battery parameter specification, a power management controller isolates the battery by turning off a charge/discharge field effect transistor. The method also includes determining if the first battery parameter is outside an associated second battery parameter specification. In response to the first battery parameter being outside the associated second battery parameter specification, the power management controller is triggered to enter a minimum power state to further reduce power consumption from the battery.

  • Publication number: 20190353096
Abstract: The present invention relates to the carbon deposit buildup in the internal combustion engine, or more specifically the removal of such carbon from the induction system, combustion chamber, and the exhaust system. The method is one in which a high volumetric flow rate of chemical/chemical mixes are used to remove a greater amount of carbon from the engine. These preferred chemical/chemical mix flow rates are 6 to 9 Gallons per hour, which is approximately 9 times the volumetric flow rate of the industry standard of 1 gallon per hour.

  • Publication number: 20190332154
Abstract: Systems and methods employ an external energy storage device (e.g., intelligent battery pack) interposed between a an information handling system (IHS) and its AC-to-DC adapter. The information handling system may be a fixed compute system, may lack an internal battery and/or may execute an operating system that does not have power management capability. The external energy storage device provides power and power state information to the IHS, e.g., that is based on state of charge (SOC) of the battery and/or absence/presence of AC power. IHS may perform one or more actions based on the power state information such as automatically save data and shutdown when notified AC power is lost and/or SOC is low, and may automatically restart and restore saved data when notified AC power is restored and/or SOC is sufficiently high. The external energy storage device may actively signal or command the IHS to act or may passively supply power state information and let the IHS decide how to act.

  • Patent number: 10456208
Abstract: A cannula mount for a surgical system may include a body having an aperture to receive a portion of a cannula. The cannula mount may further include a pivotable clamping arm to engage the portion of the cannula received in the aperture. The clamping arm may include a cam follower surface. The cannula mount may further include a block moveable between a first position and a second position. The block may include a cam surface. The cam surface of the block may engage the cam follower surface of the clamping arm in the first position to actuate the clamping arm to a closed position in which the clamping arm engages the portion of the cannula received in the aperture. The clamping arm may be permitted to move to an open position in which the clamping arm does not engage the cannula when the block is in the second position.

  • Publication number: 20190324509
Abstract: In one or more embodiments, one or more systems, processes, and/or methods may determine that an external power supply coupling is coupled to an information handling system (IHS); may determine that power is not being received via the external power supply coupling; may, after determining that determining that power is not being received via the external power supply coupling, determine that a battery power supply of the IHS is able to power the IHS; may determine that a user is not present; may save a state of the IHS to a non-volatile memory medium; and may power down the IHS. In one or more embodiments, the one or more systems, processes, and/or methods may further receive power via the external power supply coupling; may power up the IHS; and may restore the state of the IHS from the non-volatile memory medium.

  • Publication number: 20190297171
Abstract: According to some embodiments, systems, methods, apparatus, computer program code and means may receive data streams from remote third-party administrator computer servers. A back-end application computer server may receive a set of requests from a first third-party administrator computer server, each request being associated with a request value. The back-end application server may retrieve a first set of pre-determined rules and automatically apply them to the set of requests, resulting in an adjusted request value and an overall value. The back-end computer server may then automatically transmit a settlement instruction, including the overall value, to an electronic transaction system, and render a transaction activity report display via a remote computer device, associated with the first third-party administrator computer server, including information about the set of requests, the adjusted request value along with an indication of a reason for the adjustment, and the overall value.

  • Publication number: 20190266987
Abstract: Vocal musical performances may be captured and, in some cases or embodiments, pitch-corrected and/or processed in accord with a user selectable vocal effects schedule for mixing and rendering with backing tracks in ways that create compelling user experiences. In some cases, the vocal performances of individual users are captured on mobile devices in the context of a karaoke-style presentation of lyrics in correspondence with audible renderings of a backing track. Such performances can be pitch-corrected in real-time at the mobile device in accord with pitch correction settings. Vocal effects schedules may also be selectively applied to such performances. In these ways, even amateur user/performers with imperfect pitch are encouraged to take a shot at “stardom” and/or take part in a game play, social network or vocal achievement application architecture that facilitates musical collaboration on a global scale and/or, in some cases or embodiments, to initiate revenue generating in-application transactions.

  • Patent number: 10396370
Abstract: A passive tortuous path drain for a directing fluid flow from an enclosure includes a drain body having a front face and a back face. The front face defines a curved trenched channel having a first curved channel end and a second curved channel end. The front face also defines a second trenched channel. The drain body defines at least one egress opening in fluid communication with the second trenched channel. The first curved channel end and a second curved channel end are in fluid communication with the second trenched channel. Characteristically, the drain is adapted to be positioned adjacent to a drain opening in an enclosure such that liquid flows from the drain opening to the curved trenched channel and then to the second trenched channel exiting through the egress opening.

  • Patent number: 10367753
Abstract: A system may include resource instances and a network interface virtualization coordinator. Responsive to a record creation request, the coordinator creates an interface record that may include an IP address, subnet information and security properties. The coordinator may, in response to a request to attach the record to a resource instance, enable traffic directed to the IP address to flow to the resource instance. In response to a subsequent detach request, the traffic to the IP address may be disabled at the resource instance. The same interface record may be attached to another resource instance in response to another attach request, enabling traffic directed to the IP address to flow to the second resource instance.
