  • Publication number: 20160013508
Abstract: A fuel cell stack and a method of assembling a fuel cell stack includes compressing fuel cells along their stacking axis. A compression retention device made up of an enclosure may be used with one or more optional insertable shims to correct for any stack height variations. Significantly, the enclosure is formed to allow the stack to be loaded in compression by a press such that the cells that make up the stack are placed into and maintained in a substantially compressed state while the compression force is not imparted to the enclosure. By resolving any stack height variances while the cells of the stack are maintained in their substantially compressed state, assembly operations are simplified in that repeated compression and decompression of the stack is avoided while trying to ensure that the stack and enclosure are joined into their final assembly form.

  • Publication number: 20160000536
Abstract: A removable system and method for helping position and stabilize implant supported dentures during the healing process after surgery is provided, wherein a removable system comprises a soft tissue supported provisional denture structure configured to help position and stabilize the provisional denture during the transfer of the implant positions to the provisional denture. In the surgical process of providing implant-supported dentures, immediately after the implants are surgically implanted, adhesive is applied to the underside of the provisional denture, and implant connectors are seated on the implants. The provisional denture is seated in the patient's mouth wherein the soft tissue supported provisional denture structure helps stabilize and position the denture. The implant connectors adhere to the adhesive and transfer the implant positions to the provisional denture.

  • Publication number: 20150381487
Abstract: A system and computer-implemented method for cloud-based anonymous traffic routing is disclosed. The method may include receiving, from a client application by a router, network traffic identified for a destination. The method may include determining, for a set of internal cloud nodes distinct from both the client application and the destination, a set of internet protocol (IP) addresses including a first IP address for a first internal cloud node of the set of internal cloud nodes. The method may also include establishing an anonymity algorithm for cloud-based anonymous traffic routing, the anonymity algorithm configured to use the set of IP addresses. The method may also include routing, based on the anonymity algorithm, the network traffic to the first internal cloud node using the first IP address. The method may also include routing the network traffic from the set of internal cloud nodes to the destination identified by the client application.

  • Patent number: 9197092
Abstract: A battery management system calculates expected run time for the information handling system from either an average or instantaneous power consumption and the remaining battery capacity. When power is attached to the battery, the battery management system compares an expected run time with a current usage day profile. If the information handling system is operating in a non-active use period or if system run time can extend sufficiently into the non-use period then a slow charge rate is applied which will charge the batteries up to a substantially charged state (e.g., 80-95% of full capacity) and top off of the battery is deferred such that battery is fully charged somewhat before the average beginning of the next day (e.g., approximately one to two hours before the average beginning of the next day).

  • Publication number: 20150327961
Abstract: The system of a preferred embodiment uses a process whereby a true replication of the patient's jaw structure is created in a digital three dimensional model. This true replication is then used to precisely locate and/or copy the anatomical landmarks of the patient for use in fabricating a denture base for use in a denture for the individual patient. This system is able to create a denture with precisely located features corresponding to the anatomical landmarks of the patient with little manual intervention.

  • Patent number: 9154337
Abstract: An OFDM receiver generates an initial channel impulse response in response to a received OFDM signal. The receiver determines the time span within the initial channel impulse response in which significant paths are present. An intermediate channel impulse response estimator identifies paths within the initial channel impulse response and generates an improved intermediate channel impulse response. A channel impulse response estimator performs a second non-linear process to generate a channel impulse response. An equalizer responds to the channel impulse response and the OFDM symbol to equalize the OFDM symbol. Metrics are generated that can be used for effectively stopping the second iterative non-linear process.

  • Patent number: 9147062
Abstract: A method, data processing system, and computer program product for managing user identification information. A determination is made whether an instance of security information in use on the first application server and referenced by a token that has expired was generated by an application server compatible with a first application server in response to receiving the token. A determination is made whether the instance of the security information is managed by a set of rules for a group of users of the first application server. A determination is made whether a user identifier from the token is authorized to access the first application server. The token is renewed in response to determining that the user identifier is authorized to access the first application server.

  • Publication number: 20150256004
Abstract: A computer-implemented method enables capacity based pre-charging and age based permanent failure detection in a battery. The method comprises detecting, via a controller, a real time cell voltage for at least one cell in the battery. The controller determines if the real time cell voltage is less than a normal operating cell voltage. In response to the real time cell voltage being less than the normal operating cell voltage, a capacity based pre-charge value is calculated based on a full charge capacity and at least one cell parameter of the cell. A pre-charge time is calculated based on the capacity based pre-charge value. A pre-charge voltage is identified. The battery management controller is triggered to pre-charge the battery using the calculated pre-charge time and the identified pre-charge voltage.

Abstract: A computer-implemented data collection and analysis method comprises receiving from a client computing device, at least one data analysis datapoint, adding the received at least one data analysis datapoints to a data structure, and adding an additional data analysis datapoint to the data structure, storing, in a data repository, the data structure further comprising a data processing result, maintaining at least partially consistent copies of the data structure across the plurality of host computers, in response to a request regarding an operation from the client computing device, retrieving the data processing result from the data repository, and providing the data processing result using routing information to the client computing device. The data structure comprises an index of data analysis datapoints from the plurality of host computing devices. A portion of the additional data analysis datapoint is added to the data value to generate a data processing result.

  • Publication number: 20150249569
Abstract: Techniques are described for providing managed computer networks. In some situations, the techniques include managing communications for computing nodes of a managed computer network by using one or more particular computing nodes of the managed computer network that are configured to operate as intermediate destinations to handle at least some communications that are sent by and/or directed to one or more other computing nodes of the managed computer network. For example, a manager module associated with a source computing node may select one or more particular intermediate destination computing nodes to use for one or more particular communications from the source computing node to an indicated final destination, such as based on a configured logical network topology for the managed computer network. The manager module then forwards those communications to a first of the selected intermediate destination computing nodes for further handling.

  • Publication number: 20150226004
Abstract: A system and method for locating and verifying a position of an underground target utilizes a virtual reality display to guide a cutting probe to the target. Initial coordinates of the target may be obtained from prior survey data and a vertical access borehole is excavated at the initial coordinates in a first attempt to verify the target position. If the target it not encountered at the initial coordinates, a lateral sensor is positioned within the vertical access borehole to determine three-dimensional coordinates of the target. A second borehole is then excavated by a cutting head that is guided to the three-dimensional target coordinates with the assistance of a virtual reality display that shows both the target coordinates and a real time position of the cutting head. A down-hole camera or other sensor positioned within the second borehole may verify the presence or condition of the target.
