  • Patent number: 12000894
Abstract: Systems and methods manage use of rechargeable battery power of Information Handling Systems (IHSs). In managing power draws from the batteries of an IHS, use of software applications of the IHS is monitored and use is detected of a software application that has been designated as prioritized for use of the IHS batteries. A power throttling factor is selected for use in drawing power from the rechargeable batteries of the IHS while the prioritized software application remains in use. The selected power throttling factor is transmitted to an embedded controller of the IHS and the embedded controller is notified when the prioritized software application is no longer in use by a user of the IHS. The embedded controller receives the power throttling factor and, while the prioritized software application remains in use, the embedded controller limits power drawn from the IHS rechargeable batteries according to the power throttling factor.

  • Patent number: 12000478
Abstract: A method of controlling a four wheel drive (4WD) low range shift in a vehicle is provided. The vehicle has a powertrain including a transmission that drives a transmission output shaft to provide drive torque to a driveline including a power transfer unit (PTU) that delivers torque to front drive wheels and a rear differential unit (RDU) that delivers torque to rear drive wheels. The PTU and RDU are selectively rotatably coupled to each other through a propeller (prop) shaft. The PTU and the RDU are commanded into a neutral position. A clutch at the RDU is commanded to selectively engage to a degree that communicates a desired amount of torque from the prop shaft to the RDU. A determination is made that an output speed of the transmission output shaft is synchronized to match a speed of the RDU and the RDU is commanded to shift into 4WD low.

  • Publication number: 20240159184
Abstract: The testing of various chemicals has yielded new chemicals and chemical mixtures for the use of removing carbon deposits from the internal combustion engine. Some of these chemicals and chemical mixtures have proven to work better across many different carbon types than other chemicals that were tested. These chemical terpenes are typically produced from plants. One standard terpene mixture is known as turpentine. The chemical turpentine and chemicals found in turpentine have been determined, through our research and testing, to be extremely effective at removing the carbon that is produced within the internal combustion engine.

Abstract: Detecting a leak from a site in a sealed system with a source of pressurized gas which is capable of passing through the site, a composition of matter which adheres to the surfaces of the system and which is capable of showing the presence of the gas escaping from the site. The method includes: injecting gas into the system to a pressure in excess of the surrounding pressure, and covering the external surface with the composition to identify the location of the site by the interaction of the escaping gas with the composition. The composition is foam that includes a surfactant which forms a least one bubble in the presence of escaping gas and an indicator which changes color in the presence of the escaping gas. The leak is an opening down to at least the size of a hole 0.001? in diameter. A gas detector may also be used.

  • Patent number: 11953404
Abstract: This invention relates to compositions of matter formulated to work in conjunction with CO2 gas for identifying the exact leak site location of small and large leaks in sealed systems. The leak finding compositions of matter foam, or are in the form of a foam, when applied to the one or more external surfaces of a system, that is closed and pressurized with CO2, where a leak site location is suspected. This foam then changes color from a first color to a second color over the exact leak site.

  • Publication number: 20240060447
Abstract: This invention relates to cleaning the induction systems, the combustion chambers and exhaust systems of internal combustion engines. And, more particularly, to chemicals and mixtures of chemicals for removing the different types of carbon deposits encountered in internal combustion engines used in “road vehicles”. Carbon deposits were taken from the induction systems of these road vehicles for the purpose of bench testing such carbon and product development. More specifically, chemicals (i.e., solvents) and chemical mixes (i.e., solutions) have been accurately tested on such harvested carbon deposits for their ability to remove the various types of carbon deposits that accumulate within road vehicle internal combustion engines. Additionally this invention also relates to apparatus for delivering chemicals and chemical mixes.

  • Patent number: 11864767
Abstract: The invention is an implantable magnetic anastomosis device having an exoskeleton that directs self-assembly. The design allows the device to be delivered in a linear configuration using a minimally-invasive technique, such as endoscopy or laparoscopy, whereupon the device self-assembles into, e.g., a polygon. A coupled set of polygons define a circumscribed tissue that can be perforated, or the tissue can be allowed to naturally necrose and perforate. The device can be used to create anastomoses in a variety of tissues, such as tissues found in the gastrointestinal, renal/urinary, and reproductive tracts. New procedures for using anastomoses, e.g., surgical bypass are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20230363840
Abstract: A cannula mount for a surgical system includes a body configured to receive a portion of a cannula in a mounted state at the cannula mount; a pair of clamping components coupled to the body and configured to clamp the portion of the cannula in the mounted state of the cannula; and a latch assembly pivotably coupled to the body and slidably coupled to a clamping component of the pair of clamping components. At least one of the pair of clamping components is pivotable relative to the body to move the pair of clamping components between a first state to unclamp a cannula mounted at the cannula mount and a second state to clamp a cannula mounted at the cannula mount. Pivoting motion of the latch assembly relative to the body causes a portion of the latch assembly to slide along the clamping component and change a state of the pair of clamping components from an unlocked state to a locked state in the second state of the pair of clamping components.
