  • Patent number: 11678945
Abstract: A cannula mount for a surgical system includes pivotable clamping arm with a first feature configured to engage a second feature of the cannula positioned in the cannula mount. The clamping arm comprises a cam follower surface. The cannula mount further comprises a latch member movable between at least a first position and a second position, and the latch member comprises a cam surface. On the condition that the latch member is in the first position, the cam surface engages the cam follower surface of the clamping arm to actuate the clamping arm to a closed position in which the first feature engages the second feature. On the condition the cam member is in the second position, the clamping arm is free to move to an open position in which the first feature does not engage the second feature. Devices and methods relate to cannula mounts.

  • Patent number: 11670270
Abstract: Embodiments described provide a method for mixing vocal performances from different vocalists. A vocal score temporally synchronized with a corresponding backing track and lyrics is retrieved via a communications interface of a portable computing device. A first vocal performance of a user is captured, via a microphone interface of the portable computing device, and in correspondence with the backing track. An open call indication for soliciting, from a second vocalist, a second vocal performance to be mixed for audible rendering with the first vocal performance is transmitted. A mix to one of the user and the second vocalist is provided by selecting, based on to whom the mix is provided, the mix from alternative mixes each having a different prominent vocal performance.

  • Publication number: 20230127013
Abstract: A spectroscopy system includes a plurality of light sources, a plurality of detectors, and control circuitry. The control circuitry may be configured to control each light source to output frequency modulated light beams into an object and receive detector-specific data from the detectors. The detector-specific data may be representative of scattered and unabsorbed light resultant from the frequency modulated light beams interacting with the object. The control circuitry may be further configured to determine, for a source-detector link defined by a pairing of a first light source with a first detector, a link phase differential based on received phase information extracted from the detector-specific data for the source-detector link and source phase information of a first frequency modulated light beam from the first light source. Also, the control circuitry may be configured to determine a source-detector link quality metric for the source-detector link based on the link phase differential.

  • Publication number: 20230088246
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product are provided for restoring gas service to a portion of a natural gas distribution network is provided. The method includes determining a gas outage has occurred. A geographic area is defined where gas service was lost. Customer data associated with the customer locations is identified in the geographic area on the natural gas distribution network and storing the customer data in a database. An incident commander assigns customer locations to field resources. The field resources are notified of the customer locations assigned to the field resources. The field resources disconnect the customer locations from the natural gas distribution network. The field resources update the database with the customer data to indicate the customer location has been disconnected by the field resources. On a computing device the customer data is displayed to the incident commander indicating that the customer location has been disconnected.

  • Patent number: 11573618
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for powering an Information Handling System (IHS). The system includes a multimode AC adapter that reports supported outputs, including USB-PD (Universal Serial Bus Power Delivery) outputs and also including high-power outputs of a voltage greater than the USB-PD output voltages. The IHS detects a coupling of the multimode AC adapter to a USB-C port of the IHS. Based on information provided by the multimode adapter, the IHS determines the multimode adapter supports transmission of the high-power outputs to the USB-C port. The high-power outputs are negotiated and a power circuit of the IHS is configured for converting the negotiated high-power output. The configured power circuit converts the negotiated high-power output received via the USB-C port to an input utilized by the IHS. The high-power conversion circuit may provide efficient conversion of input voltages of up to 60 volts to voltages for use by the IHS.

  • Patent number: 11502544
Abstract: Systems and methods provide wireless power to an Information Handling System (IHS). A multimode wireless power transmission unit supports USB-PD (Universal Serial Bus Power Delivery) power transmissions and also supports a high-power transmission of a voltage greater than USB-PD transmission voltages. The IHS detects the wireless coupling of the wireless power transmission unit. As part of this coupling, the IHS determines whether the wireless power transmission unit supports high-power transmissions. A wireless power transfer is negotiated and a power circuit of the IHS is configured for converting the negotiated high-power transmission to an input utilized by the IHS. Embodiments utilize a power circuit that provides efficient conversion of power transmissions of up to 60 volts. This same power circuit also provides efficient conversion of power transmissions of up to 60 volts by a multimode USB-C power adapter.

Abstract: Systems and methods that may be implemented to employ a programmable integrated circuit within a smart battery pack to detect and/or log occurrence of chassis intrusion and/or tampering events in a battery-powered information handling system within which the smart battery pack is installed. A battery management unit (BMU) or other programmable integrated circuit of the installed smart battery pack may be utilized to detect occurrence of a tampering and/or intrusion event into the chassis of the host information handling system based on a current state of a system present (Sys_Pres) signal at the battery pack that indicates temporary or permanent disconnection of system motherboard circuitry from the smart battery pack of the battery-powered information handling system. Such a detected occurrence of a tampering and/or intrusion event may be reported to a remote human user of remote system and/or to a local human user of the local system.

  • Publication number: 20220334214
Abstract: A method for estimating position of a mobile device which includes receiving, from a network server, observed time difference of arrival (OTDOA) assistance data for a first plurality of cells from a base station almanac (BSA) accessible to the network server. The OTDOA assistance data is stored, within a memory of the mobile device, as a first micro-BSA. A position estimate for the mobile device is determined based upon time difference of arrival (TDOA) measurements associated with an initial subset of the first plurality of cells and initial OTDOA assistance data corresponding to the initial subset of the first plurality of cells. The initial OTDOA assistance data may be generated by the micro-BSA based upon an initial seed estimate.

  • Publication number: 20220334215
Abstract: A hybrid method of estimating position of a mobile device which utilizes both received signal power and timing measurements. Received signal power of signals received by the mobile device from a plurality of cells are measured and corresponding received signal power measurements are stored. The method further includes measuring, at the mobile device, times of arrival of signals received from the plurality of cells. A plurality of time difference of arrival (TDOA) measurements are determined from the times of arrival. A power-time hybrid Gaussian maximum likelihood estimator and positioning assistance data for the plurality of cells are used to generate a maximum likelihood estimate of the position of the mobile device by evaluating a joint conditional probability of the received signal power measurements and the plurality of TDOA measurements. Gaussian random variables may be used to represent the received signal power measurements and the TDOA measurements.

  • Patent number: 11422601
Abstract: The measured capacity of a rechargeable battery provides the full charge capacity of the battery, but does not reflect degradation of the battery capacity between measurements. Embodiments initiate a first measurement of a rechargeable battery capacity. Parameters of use of the rechargeable battery are monitored, such as the depth and number of discharge cycles of the battery. Until a second capacity measurement is initiated, a battery capacity correction factor is generated based on the monitored parameters of the use of the rechargeable battery. During this interval until the second measurement, a remaining available capacity of the rechargeable battery is reported based on an adjustment of the first capacity measurement using the generated correction factor. The correction factor for a particular battery may be based on learned battery degradation for a large number of batteries and also based on events and conditions of use of that particular battery.
