  • Patent number: 10247357
Abstract: A system and method for maintaining overpressure in a logging unit or other pressurized space through interruptions is disclosed. A backup air supply comprising tanks mounted to a frame is operatively connected to the ambient environment of the logging unit through a valve assembly which also connects a conventional pressure setup (e.g., pumps and filters from the external environment). The valve assembly comprises two auto valves, a shuttle valve, and a pressure sensor that allow the logging unit to switch from the conventional external air supply to the tanks when the pressure detected from the conventional air supply falls below a predetermined level. The valve assembly is independently housed and may be mounted or detached from the frame housing the backup tanks.

  • Publication number: 20160332813
Abstract: A modular dynamic lifting framework for a standard ISO block shipping container is disclosed, comprising two side frames which are mounted to the sides of the shipping container, and a number of braces which secure the side frames. Each of the ISO blocks on the shipping container is contacted on at least three sides (in the X, Y, and Z axes) to ensure maximum carrying capacity with minimal effort in loading/unloading during a dynamic lifting situation. The modular construction obviates the need for the entire container to be lifted during installation of the framework, as one side can be installed at a time.

  • Patent number: 9377835
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure pertain to a system and method for providing dynamic charge current based on maximum expansion card power. Dynamic monitoring of overall power usage by an expansion card is performed. Based on the dynamic monitoring, power consumption of a charging circuit of the card is dynamically adjusted for maintaining the overall power consumption of the expansion card at or below a pre-determined power limit (e.g., at or below an expansion slot power limit). Further, based on the dynamic monitoring, an amount of charging current provided by a current limiting device of the charging circuit to an energy storage device of the charging circuit is dynamically adjusted.

  • Publication number: 20160151260
Abstract: The present invention relates to novel carboxylic acid-substituted idebenone derivatives, skin treatment compositions containing these carboxylic acid-substituted derivatives, methods of treating skin changes by topical application of these carboxylic acid-substituted idebenone derivatives, and their methods of synthesis. The carboxylic acid-substituted idebenone derivatives of the present invention are unexpectedly effective in treating skin, particularly with respect to skin tolerance. When included in a topical composition, the carboxylic acid-substituted idebenone derivatives of the present invention have an antioxidant effect that is useful in treating a skin change.

  • Publication number: 20150251849
Abstract: A receptacle assembly including a body portion having a front wall, a rear wall, and lateral sidewalls. The receptacle assembly can also include a bag liner dispenser disposed on an exterior surface of the rear wall, such that an interior surface of the rear wall remains generally planar. The bag liner dispenser can extend around a periphery of an opening that can provide access from the bag liner dispenser to an interior space of the body portion.

  • Patent number: 8864415
Abstract: The present invention provides a means by which an underwater plow can avoid large obstacles that otherwise would prevent the plow from executing its desired path. The underwater plow is released into the water, drops to the sea floor, orients itself, and begins to deploy the sensor array along a pre-programmed path. If the plow encounters a sea floor obstacle, the plow 10 automatically maneuvers to overcome the obstacle and continues deployment of the sensor array. The buoyancy shifting apparatus 110 allows the plow to automatically maneuver. The present invention shifts the center of buoyancy of the underwater plow, thereby allowing the plow to float over obstructions.

  • Patent number: 8579644
Abstract: A connector coupling that comprises a connector body, a first collar that receives the connector body, and second collar that surrounds the first collar. A movable ratchet ring is supported by the connector body and includes at least one locking member. The movable ratchet ring is axially movable with respect to the first collar between engaged and disengaged positions. A stationary ratchet ring is coupled to the first collar and includes at least one locking member. When the movable ratchet ring is in the engaged position, the locking members of the rings are engaged, and rotating the second collar from the first position to the second position with respect to the first collar moves the movable ratchet ring to the disengaged position away from the stationary ratchet ring such that the locking members are disengaged, thereby allowing rotation of the first collar with respect to the connector body.

  • Patent number: 8333231
Abstract: A Moineau style stator includes a helical reinforcement component that provides an internal helical cavity. A resilient liner is deployed on an inner surface of the helical reinforcement component. The helical reinforcement component includes a solder or braze material and is typically metallurgically bonded to an inner wall of a stator tube. In exemplary embodiments, the helical reinforcement component includes a composite mixture of solder and aggregate. Exemplary embodiments of this invention address the heat build up and subsequent elastomer breakdown in the lobes of prior arts stators by providing a helical reinforcement component. Solder reinforced stators tend to be less expensive to fabricate than reinforced stators of the prior art.
