  • Publication number: 20170348413
Abstract: The present invention is based on the surprising finding that H5 protein of clade 1 H5N1 induces, in particular by a single-shot vaccination, a cross-clade protective immune response to influenza viruses with H5N1 HA. In one aspect, the invention is thus directed to H5 protein of clade 1 H5N1 virus for use in a method of treating or preventing infections with H5N1 virus of a different clade, namely of a clade different from clade 1 or from any clade with the exception of clade 1, respectively.

  • Patent number: 9668335
Abstract: A heat sink fastener includes a bridge, a first latch lever coupled to a first end of the bridge, and a second latch lever coupled to a second end of the bridge. The bridge defines a first fulcrum between a first force receiver and a first latch and a second fulcrum between a second force receiver and a second latch. An application force to deflect the force receivers toward each other to spring load the bridge and separate the first latch from the second latch. The bridge is then operable to unload to return the first latch and the second latch to a rest position. The first latch and the second latch engage apertures in a substrate so that springs or cantilevered spring members can bias the heat sink toward the substrate and an electronic component disposed between the heat sink and the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20170038145
Abstract: A process and a device are provided that avoid the problems expressed earlier in order to produce a current of alloy particles at temperatures above 400° C. that will ultimately be used to alloy or chemically treat liquid metal streams. The invention that is presented is composed of a chamber heated by one or more gas burners, where a current of alloy particles with the pre-established massic or volumetric flow is input either manually or via the use of a gravimetric or volumetric dosing device that operates at room temperature located in an area above the chamber. These particles are heated by radiation from the walls of the chamber and by the radiation and convection of the flames of the burners that sweep them along during their flight inside the device for the time that they remain inside the chamber.

  • Patent number: 9334681
Abstract: An automated child safety unlocking system for automobiles which disengages the child safety locks and unlocks the doors at appropriate times during events such as vehicle crashes. The vehicle ECU continually monitors the status of the vehicle to check if a crash event has occurred via various methods such as the status of airbag deployment, accelerometers placed in the car, and crumple points. In the event of a crash the vehicle ECU transmits one of at least two CSL command signals a child safety lock ECU. The command signals are each specific to an event severity and event type, and the child safety lock ECU then interprets the signal and acts according to the signal type. If the data interpreted indicates a crash, the child safety lock ECU unlocks the child safety locks, and if it does not determine a crash has not occurred, the locks remain engaged.
