  • Patent number: 9255871
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a process for experimental determination of heavy live crude oil dynamic viscosities reliable at a constant temperature (from ambient temperature to 463 K) and pressures from 68.9 MPa to the atmospheric pressure, including the dynamic viscosity at the bubble point pressure and by below of this point, based on a simple, reliable and accurate apparatus. The apparatus used in the present invention is based on an electromagnetic concept, only using a mobile element (piston) through a fluid at a constant force. The time required for the piston to travel a fixed distance is related exactly to the dynamic viscosity of the fluid contained in a measuring chamber. When the fluid contained in the inner part of the measuring chamber is more viscous, the piston displacement will be slower.

  • Publication number: 20150286860
Abstract: A computer implemented method for retrieving information from printed documents and dumping it into formatted documents like forms or templates; the method is mainly aimed to portable and autonomous electronic portable devices furnished with capture means like cameras; therefore the invention is meant but not limited to its implementation in smartphones. The computer implement method of the invention allows the direct dump of data present on printed documents to a computer system in order to use that data to fill formatted forms or documents, so the user can easily fill forms, more specifically tax or financial forms, in a direct way. It is worth mentioning that the whole method is carried out in the autonomous electronic portable device.

  • Publication number: 20150261620
Abstract: Systems and methods are presented for reducing load database time in a database backup process. In some embodiments, a computer-implemented method may include marking a checkpoint in a log of the database; generating a backup of the database for data up to the checkpoint; recording first changes in the database while generating the backup of the database; adding to the backup of the database an additional backup of the recording of the first changes; recording second changes in the database while adding the additional backup; determining if a number of second changes satisfies a criterion; and if the number of second changes satisfies the criterion, then adding to the backup of the database a backup of the recorded second changes. Recording these changes can enable a database dump process to contain more recent page images, so that the amount of recovery at load time is reduced.
