  • Patent number: 5392002
Abstract: A negative impedance converter utilizes a pair of transistors in a negative feedback configuration to thereby function as a positive differential resistance. The negative impedance converter also utilizes a second pair of transistors that are coupled in a positive feedback configuration to function as a negative differential resistance. By using substantially equal values of resistors in the emitter circuit of each transistor, the negative impedance converter provides both a differential output impedance which approaches infinity and a low common mode output impedance.
