  • Publication number: 20190344719
Abstract: Disclosed is a bed platform and system for use in an enclosed or partly enclosed space, such as, a cargo space of a vehicle, such as, a van, camper, or truck, among others. By one approach, the bed platform consists of interleaved portions of panel portions that permit relative lateral motion of the panels. In some configurations, the panel portions are adjustable such that the bed platform can be fit into differently sized vehicle cargo spaces. In addition, the systems described herein also may permit the bed platform to be adjusted or moved to different heights even though the wall configurations may be different along the height thereof.

  • Patent number: 10406874
Abstract: A fifth wheel trailer lock for preventing a fifth wheel release handle from being operated to unlock a fifth wheel of a load hauler from a load supported by the fifth wheel. The fifth wheel trailer lock generally includes a handle mount that mounts on and releasably locks to a fifth wheel release handle in a predetermined orientation, a lock extension that extends outwardly from the handle mount into proximity with a stationary structure of the fifth wheel, and a fifth wheel catch on the lock extension adapted to engage the stationary structure of the fifth wheel when an attempt is made to operate the release handle. The engagement of the stationary structure of the fifth wheel by the fifth wheel catch prevents the release handle from being operated to unlock the fifth wheel from the supported load.

  • Publication number: 20190262047
Abstract: A fastener for fixing bone and a method of fixing bone with the fastener. The fastener may be headless and may be configured to compress bone when driven into at least one bone and across a discontinuity formed by the bone. In an exemplary embodiment, the fastener includes a forward portion, a rear portion, a first thread having a plurality of revolutions in each of the forward and rear portions, and a second thread having a plurality of revolutions in the rear portion and none in the forward portion. The first thread may have a greater average lead in the forward portion than the rear portion. Revolutions of the first thread and the second thread may alternate with one another in the rear portion such that the rear portion is at least double-threaded.

  • Publication number: 20190234791
Abstract: The system and method described herein enable generating digital product labels for products that are valued by weight. Product identification data of a product is received via at least one of a user interface and a network interface. Value per weight data of the product is obtained from a product data store via the network interface. A weight value is determined from at least one scale device via the network interface and a product value is calculated based on the obtained value per weight data and the determined weight value. A digital product label is generated, including at least a portion of the product identification data and product value. The disclosure provides systems and methods that use multiple modular devices, such as the scale devices, printers, and product attribute collector devices, that provide flexibility in organizing the system and reduced cost in initial setup and replacement of devices in the system.

  • Patent number: 10266304
Abstract: A stackable packaging unit comprises a molded tray including one or more compartments and a female feature. Additionally, the stackable packaging unit includes a cover attached to the molded tray and configured to cover at least a portion of at least one of the compartment(s) of the molded tray. The cover is made of folded paperboard or cardboard and includes a handle extending upward. The handle of the cover provides a male feature that is configured to fit within the female feature of a further one of the stackable packaging units that's stacked above the stackable packaging unit. The molded tray can be made of molded pulp, in which case the molded tray and the paperboard or cardboard from which the cover is made can both be recyclable. The molded tray and the paperboard or cardboard from which the cover is made can additionally or alternatively include postconsumer recycled material.

  • Patent number: 10209969
Abstract: A protocol compiler to generate flight code and routing tables is disclosed. In various embodiments, one or more definition files are received. The one or more definition files are parsed to extract flight control system definition data. A communication topology comprising a set of entities of the flight control system and communication links between said entities is determined based on the flight control system definition data. A set of one or more routing tables is generated programmatically based at least in part on the communication topology and message type definition data. Flight code to implement a flight control system defined at least in part by said flight control system definition data is generating programmatically, based at least in part on the flight control system definition data, including code to route messages according to said one or more routing tables.
