Patent number: 11258760Abstract: A method and system are disclosed. A first service engine among a plurality of service engines detects a traffic violation of a web application policy for an instantiation of a virtual service on the first service engine. The service engines maintain corresponding instances of a shared state of policy violations for the web application policy. In response to detecting the traffic violation, a first instance of the shared state on the first service engine is updated. The first service engine broadcasts the updated first instance of the shared state. Remaining service engines, which have instantiations of the virtual service, update their instances of the shared state in response to receiving the updated first instance. The instances of the shared state are aggregated to obtain an aggregated shared state. It is detected whether the aggregated shared state triggers an application policy rule for the web application policy.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2018Date of Patent: February 22, 2022Assignee: VMWARE, INC.Inventors: Chandra Sekhar Kondamuri, Abhijeet Joglekar

Publication number: 20220043779Abstract: A heuristics-based concurrent edit detector (“ConE”) can notify collaborators about potential conflicts that may be caused by edits made by other collaborators. ConE may compare concurrent edits submitted by collaborators, calculate the extent of overlap between two sets of edits, apply one or more filters to balance recall versus precision, and decide whether to alert the collaborators about candidate potential conflicts. ConE may be light-weight and easily scalable to work in a very large environment with numerous collaborators.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 5, 2020Publication date: February 10, 2022Applicant: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Chandra Sekhar Maddila, Nachiappan Nagappan, Christian Alma Bird

Patent number: 11240049Abstract: A method, computing system, and computer program product are provided. A processor of a computer system estimates an amount of bandwidth to be used to complete a transaction based on a usage history. Responsive to determining that the amount of the estimated bandwidth to be used exceeds a predefined threshold of an amount of available bandwidth and to determining that an account has any offers for additional bandwidth at no additional cost, the amount of available bandwidth is automatically recharged using at least some of the any offers until either the any offers are exhausted or the estimated amount of the bandwidth to be used would be less than the predefined threshold. When the estimated amount of the bandwidth to be used continues to exceed the predefined threshold, the bandwidth is automatically recharged using an advanced amount of bandwidth to increase a likelihood that the transaction will complete successfully.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 2019Date of Patent: February 1, 2022Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Venkata Vara Prasad Karri, Kamal Kiran Trood Yamala, Naga Srinivasa reddy Padala, Chandra Sekhar Kalyan Devulapalli

Publication number: 20220027946Abstract: A marketing campaign management system that includes a campaign platform that categorizes intended recipient profiles corresponding to intended recipients of marketing campaign messages based on their levels of fatigue. Recipient profiles categorized as “saturated” are then sub-segmented to determine their relative levels of fatigue or saturation. The intended recipient profiles that are most fatigued are removed from a recipients list such that they will not be sent any campaigns until after a rest state has been completed. A transitional safe state ensures that the intended recipient profiles inserted back into the list are not immediately removed once again.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 21, 2020Publication date: January 27, 2022Inventors: Chandra Sekhar Pisupati, Karempudi V.
