  • Publication number: 20210120439
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method comprises: determining, by a network device, a time gap between first and second wireless sessions by a mobile network device in an identified wireless region of a wireless cellular data network, based on first detecting an abnormal closing of the first wireless session based on a first call data record (CDR) generated based on data from a packet gateway (PGW), and second detecting an opening of the second wireless session consecutively following the first wireless session based on a second CDR generated based on data from the PGW; aggregating time gaps for respective first and second wireless sessions; generating a time-based connection quality score for the identified wireless region based on the time gaps; and causing a second mobile network device destined for the identified wireless region to mitigate against poor connection quality in the identified wireless region based on the time-based connection quality score.

  • Patent number: 10979119
Abstract: Embodiments of a method in a base station for precoding a downlink transmission are disclosed. In some embodiments, the method comprises obtaining, for a time instant k, an estimate of a channel matrix for a wireless channel for a downlink from the base station to a wireless device and projecting the estimate of the channel matrix onto one or more sets of spatial orthonormal functions, thereby obtaining respective sets of coefficients. The method further comprises, for each set of spatial orthonormal functions, filtering the set of coefficients for the time instant k based on a filtering parameter that is specific to a downlink channel to be transmitted. The method further comprises generating beamforming weights using the filtered set of coefficients for at least one of the sets of spatial orthonormal functions, and precoding the downlink channel using the beamforming weights.

  • Publication number: 20210044601
Abstract: A communication network may scan data to identify and prevent the spread of malicious data, such as viruses, worms, trojans, malware, and the like, transmitted through the communication network. As scanning content for malicious data within an application program or an application node hosted on the communication network may limit the performance of the application program, a server in a load balanced datacenter environment may host a malicious data scan as a service. Accordingly, the malicious data scan service may scale effectively to accommodate an increasing number of application nodes in the network, and by retrieving updated definitions of malicious data at suitable times, the server may identify malicious data with increasing reliability.

  • Patent number: 10909211
Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for providing access to a database in a multi-tenant environment, including the use of a connection pool, and support for limiting the maximum number of connections per tenant or per database shard. For example, when a tenant is associated with a service, configuring a maximum connections per service limit on a shared connection pool indicates to the system that the shared pool should not repurpose existing connections, or create new connections for a service, if the maximum connections per service limit has been reached for that particular service. The system can also maintain a parameter that keeps track of the total number of connections created to each shard of a sharded database. The connection pool can scan the sharded database topology, to determine which shard or sharded instance can satisfy the request, without exceeding the maximum limit for that shard.

  • Patent number: 10902858
Abstract: An apparatus includes a decoder configured to receive, from an encoder, a frame associated with an audio bitstream and with a first sampling rate. The decoder is configured to perform a frequency-domain upmix on data associated with the frame to generate left and right frequency-domain signals and is further configured to generate, based on the left and right frequency-domain signals, left and right time-domain signals that each have a second sampling rate. The second sampling rate is determined by the decoder, based on one or both of the first sampling rate and an output sampling rate, and is adjustable by the decoder to enable different frames to be decoded at different second sampling rates. The decoder is further configured to generate, based on the left and right time-domain signals, left and right resampled signals that each have the output sampling rate.
