  • Publication number: 20070029944
Abstract: A cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) assembly includes a pair of CCFLs, and an inverter-type drive circuit. The drive circuit includes a first transformer having a primary winding adapted to be coupled to a power supply module, and a secondary winding with a pair of terminals. The CCFLs are coupled respectively to the terminals of the secondary winding. The drive circuit further includes a push-pull drive circuit coupled to the primary winding of the first transformer, and adapted to be coupled to the power supply module. The push-pull drive circuit excites the primary winding of the first transformer upon receiving power from the power supply module such that power is transferred from the primary winding to the secondary winding, thus activating the CCFLs coupled thereto.

  • Publication number: 20060187073
Abstract: An energy status indicator for a portable device includes an alert device, an activation sensor, an energy status indicator, an alert triggering device and an alert database that includes alert data. The activation sensor is for detecting if the portable device is activated and the energy status indicator is used for determining a level of remaining energy in an energy storage. The alert triggering device includes coded program which is for outputting alert data corresponding to the level of remaining energy through the alert device, after the portable device's activation. The energy status indicator gives a user control over when the energy status is to be output and also to the type of alert that is to be output (e.g. sound, vibration, etc.). Additionally, it allows the user to determine the energy status when visual inspection of the portable device is not possible.

  • Publication number: 20050231168
Abstract: The invention provides a hand-held electric device and a method for protecting the main circuit of the device. The device includes a housing, a main circuit installed within the housing, a protection circuit installed within the housing, and a battery detachably attached to the housing. When the battery is attached to the housing, the battery electrically connects with the main circuit to form a loop, so as to provide electric power for operations of the main circuit. The protection circuit includes a protection controller and a control switch installed in the loop. When the protection controller detects an abnormal voltage or current, the protection controller transmits a protection control signal to the control switch to cut off the loop, so as to protect the main circuit from being damaged by the abnormal voltage or current.

  • Publication number: 20050203458
Abstract: A safe retractable type syringe comprising a needle set, a barrel and a plunger, the needle set is inserted into and connected with the inner wall of the barrel from the front end of the barrel, and is pulled back into the barrel to be connected with the barrel after injection. The syringe is characterized in that, the bottom of the needle set has on the periphery thereof at least one first annular flange, the front end of the barrel has on its inner wall a second annular flange and at least two protruding ribs equidistantly away from the second annular flange; this can improve the state of connecting of the needle set with the barrel, the needle set and the barrel thus are tightly engaged with each other, thereby liquid medicine can be sealed, and the operations to insert with a force and connect and pull the needle set into the barrel are both easy; thereby manufacturing of the engaging structure of the needle set and the barrel can be easier.

  • Publication number: 20050107747
Abstract: A retractable safe syringe, including a needle set, a cylinder and a plunger. The cylinder is formed as a needle-set socket on its upper portion. The needle set has a first engaging portion on the bottom, and is connected to the needle-set socket with a predetermined force. The plunger has a piston on its front portion, and a second engaging portion is provided on the front end of the position. The piston is made of elastic material, has a hollow space therein, and is in a shape easy to be compressed and restored. The piston can be pushed upwards in the cylinder until the top of the piston contacts the top wall in injecting space of the cylinder at the situation that the first engaging portion is not connected with the second engaging portion.

  • Publication number: 20050085278
Abstract: A first port and cable having a first power line and a first data line connects to a host computer, a second port and cable having a second data line connects to a data port of a mobile device, and a third port and cable with a third power line connects to power port of the mobile device. The first data line and second data line are connected through a data converter installed in a housing for converting first format data on the first data line to second format data on the second data line. The first port can be integral with the housing, omitting the first cable. The second cable and third cable can be removable from the housing via connectors to facilitate customizability.

  • Publication number: 20050038395
Abstract: A retractable safety type syringe operatable with single-hand comprises: a barrel with a bottom plate extending externally toward all directions on the rear end thereof; a needle set fixedly connected to the front end of the barrel, the needle set having a first engaging portion on the rear end thereof; and a plunger placed in the barrel, having on the front end thereof a second engaging portion to engage with the first engaging portion, and having an end plate on the rear end of the plunger. Thereby, two fingers can be used to hook the bottom plate of the barrel, and another finger of the same hand can be used to push forwards the plunger for injection; after injection, two fingers can be used to abut against the end plate on the rear end of the plunger, another finger of the same hand can be used to push the bottom plate extending out of the barrel, so that the plunger moves relatively to the barrel to get the function of pulling the plunger rearwards.

  • Publication number: 20040210198
Abstract: A safety syringe comprises a needle set, a barrel and a plunger. Wherein the front end of the needle set is connected with a needle, while the rear end is provided with a first coupling portion; the bottom of the needle set has on the periphery thereof at least an annular flange. The barrel is hollow, its front end is formed as a socket to connect the needle set; the socket has on its inner wall two mutually neighboring annular flanges. The rear end of the barrel is used for slipping in the plunger of which the front end has a piston; a second coupling portion is provided on the front end of the piston. Hence when the needle set is connected to the needle-set socket, the said at least an annular flange on the periphery of the needle set is located between the two annular flanges on the inner wall of the needle-set socket to increase the tightness of connection.

  • Publication number: 20040153035
Abstract: A retractable type safety syringe comprises a needle set, a barrel and a plunger, wherein the needle set has a first engaging portion on the bottom thereof. The front end of the plunger has a contractible elastic piston. The piston has a second engaging portion on the top thereof to be engaged with the first engaging portion. When the piston is pushed into the injecting space of the barrel to contact the inner wall on the top end of the injecting space, and when a force is exerted to make the first engaging portion connect with the second engaging portion, the piston can restore from the deformed state to overcome the fixed connecting force of the needle set. The safety syringe has a variety of feasible shapes and structures of pistons that can suit various retractable type safety syringes.
