  • Publication number: 20150126192
Abstract: Network device selection or handover schemes enable higher network capacity based on partially-observable Markov decision processes. Unavailable cell loading information is observed and/or predicted from non-serving base stations and actions are taken to maintain an active base station set or network device candidate data for selection in routing communications of a mobile device in a mobile device cell selection or handover procedure. A reward function is considered in the selection based on various parameters comprising system capacity, handover times, and mobility of a mobile device or mobile station.

  • Publication number: 20120147014
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for automatically extracting personal styles from captured motion data. The inventive method employs wavelet analysis to extract the captured motion vector of different actors into wavelet coefficients, and thus forms a feature vector by optimization selection, which is used later for identification purposes. When the inventive method is applied to process animation frames, the performance can be evaluated by grouping and classification matrix without any correlation with the type of the motion. Also, even if the type of the motion is not stored in the database in advance, the motions of the actor can still be recognized by a learning module regardless of the type of the motions.

Abstract: A method for determining native threshold voltage of nonvolatile memory includes following steps. A memory cell including a control gate, a charge storage layer, a source region, and a drain region is provided. A programming operation is performed on the memory cell by using F-N tunneling effect to obtain a programming curve of time versus threshold voltage. In the programming operation, a positive voltage is applied to the control gate. An erase operation is performed on the memory cell by using F-N tunneling effect to obtain an erasure curve of time versus threshold voltage. In the erase operation, a negative voltage is applied to the control gate. The absolute values of the positive voltage and the negative voltage are the same. The native threshold voltage of memory cell is determined from the cross point of the programming curve and the erasure curve.

  • Patent number: 7364569
Abstract: A retractable safety syringe includes a needle set, a barrel and a plunger. The needle set is attached to the barrel, and has a first engaging portion at one end. The plunger is mounted with a compressive piston and terminates in a second engaging portion. The piston contacts with a shoulder of the barrel as the plunger is pushed forward. To withdraw the need set inside the barrel, the plunger is pushed forward while the piston contacts with the shoulder of the barrel so as to engage the first and second engaging portion. The plunger is thereby locked with the needle set for withdrawal inside the barrel.

  • Patent number: 7230390
Abstract: A cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) assembly includes a pair of CCFLs, and an inverter-type drive circuit. The drive circuit includes a first transformer having a primary winding adapted to be coupled to a power supply module, and a secondary winding with a pair of terminals. The CCFLs are coupled respectively to the terminals of the secondary winding. The drive circuit further includes a push-pull drive circuit coupled to the primary winding of the first transformer, and adapted to be coupled to the power supply module. The push-pull drive circuit excites the primary winding of the first transformer upon receiving power from the power supply module such that power is transferred from the primary winding to the secondary winding, thus activating the CCFLs coupled thereto.
