  • Patent number: 9316553
Abstract: A differential pressure sensor for sensing a differential pressure of a process fluid, includes a sensor body having a sensor cavity formed therein with a cavity profile. A diaphragm in the sensor cavity deflects in response to an applied differential pressure. The diaphragm has a diaphragm profile. A gap formed between the cavity profile and the diaphragm profile changes as a function of the differential pressure. At least one of the cavity profile and diaphragm profile changes as a function of a line pressure to compensate for changes in the gap due to deformation of the sensor body from the line pressure.

  • Patent number: 9311432
Abstract: The present inventors devised, among other things, systems, methods, and software that radically simplify and reduce the time necessary to specify, design, manufacture, and document control panels and wiring harnesses for semi-custom and custom equipment, such as HV AC equipment. A computer storage medium includes data relating to a plurality of control panel enclosures and a set of rules for designing a control panel. The system receives a selection of two or more components for placement in the control panel, retrieves information about the two or more components from a database, and generates one or more layouts. The one or more layouts comprise placement of the two or more components within at least one of the plurality of control panel enclosures as a function of the set of rules for designing a control panel. The control panel enclosures are dynamically selected as a function of the two or more components.

  • Publication number: 20160066634
Abstract: A glove provides high palm shear force and reduced finger shear force when pulling elongated articles such as a rope, a rod, and the like. A high COF material is applied to palm and a low COF material is applied to inner finger surfaces. The fingers are still used to grasp the elongated article, but the shear pulling force on the fingers is reduced and the shear pulling force on the palm is increased. In one embodiment, the underlying glove material on the palm and finger grasping surfaces is a synthetic leather material, the high COF material on the palm is a silicone rubber material deposited on the synthetic leather material and the low COF material on the inner finger surfaces is a ballistic material sewn onto the synthetic leather material, for example, an aramid fiber material sold under the trademark Kevlar®.

  • Patent number: 9250618
Abstract: The present subject matter relates energy management systems and methodologies wherein control over local appliances is implemented to control stress on a local transformer to which a plurality of user locations may be connected. Some of the user locations are provided with home energy management (HEM) devices that control operation of certain appliance at their location based in part on constraints associated with the local transformer. The HEMs may negotiate among themselves how to meet the constraints of the local transformer and, in certain circumstances, take into consideration estimates of usage at user locations connected to the local transformer but that do not have their own HEM.

  • Publication number: 20150262118
Abstract: Systems and methods for automatic reorganization of pick slot assignments in a warehouse are described. Replenishments of products from storage slots to pick slots are used to perform product relocation to new pick slots for active items, along with traditional relocation moves for inactive items to establish open pick slots. By use of replenishments, the blocking of product relocations to new pick slots due to order picking activity is reduced or eliminated, enabling product relocation for improved slotting to be performed during normal warehouse operations. A dynamic slotting method is described where each item is assigned to a zone having a designated set of slots and each item is replenished to any new slot, as compared to an originally assigned slot, in the zone as stock is depleted by picking. Inactive items may be proactively relocated to temporary slots to reduce or eliminate the blocking of relocations of active items.

  • Publication number: 20150248273
Abstract: Because a touch controller may not be capable of providing a signal to indicate when to provide audio feedback, a computing system may include a touch event detector that is located in a communication channel between a touch controller and a processing system (e.g., a processor and main memory of a computing system). The touch event detector may monitor the touch data as it is relayed from the touch controller to the processing system via a communication hub. Once the touch event detector identifies a relevant touch event (i.e., a touch event that should provide audio feedback to a user), the touch event detector transmits an instruction to an audio output device (e.g., a speaker) which then generates the audio feedback.

  • Publication number: 20150242038
Abstract: Multiple users may interact with the multiple touch monitors simultaneously. For example, a point-of-sale (POS) system may include two touch monitors (e.g., one facing the cashier and another facing the customer) that are controlled by the same operating system. To provide audio feedback to both users, the operating system needs to know on which monitor the touch event occurred. However, because the operating system may use a shared coordinate region, it only knows that a touch event occurred within the region but not know on which monitor. As such, embodiments herein describe a filter module that identifies a specific location of a touch event within the shared coordinate region and maps that location to one of the touch monitors. Once the specific touch monitor is identified, the filter module sends an instruction that causes a speaker assigned to the identified touch monitor to output the audio feedback.
