  • Publication number: 20210089380
Abstract: Techniques disclosed herein relate to managing notifications to a user associated with a computing device. The notifications correspond to a response to an indication of an exception condition on the computing device. The response to the exception condition includes a plurality of steps, including computer-implemented steps in which data objects output a plurality of notifications for the user. These notifications are processed by a notification choreographer and used to prepare a unified status communication. The unified status communication is output to the user and depicts information corresponding to a plurality of the notifications.

  • Publication number: 20210054858
Abstract: A control system for controlling the position of a piston within a cylinder includes a positioner, a digital controller, and one or more solenoid operated valves. The positioner may remain active at all times and contribute to control of the position of the piston. The digital controller may compare the actual position of the piston with a desired position of the piston and identify any deviation therebetween. When the deviation is above a prescribed threshold, the digital control may send a signal to the solenoid operated valve(s) to actuate the solenoid operated valve(s) to rapidly correct the deviation. As the deviation approaches zero, the digital controller may deactivate the solenoid operated valve(s) and the positioner may complete the correction.

  • Publication number: 20210011170
Abstract: A machine vision device is provided usable in conjunction with power equipment machines. By way of example, an array of sensors can be deployed to detect proximity of objects to the power equipment machine, and issue an alert in response to detecting an object within a threshold distance. The alert can be utilized by the power equipment machine to take corrective action to mitigate or avoid running over or striking the object. Sensors having respective fields of view can be arranged along an arc to facilitate machine vision of a spatial volume in a proximity of the machine, and ranging determinations can be coupled with low cost processing devices to facilitate a machine vision solution far more cost effective than other technologies in the art.

  • Publication number: 20200344176
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to creating and managing an information flow within a multi-layer computer network. In various embodiments, a computer system in a first layer within a multi-layer computer network, maintains state information defining an information flow within the multi-layer computer network. In various embodiments, the computer system assigns a particular action (that is included in the information flow) to be performed at a second, different layer of the multi-layer computer network. In various embodiments, the computer system generates program instructions to perform the particular action. The program instructions may be generated using device information accessible to the computer system and indicative of characteristics of a computer system within the second layer. In various embodiments, the computer system in the first layer causes the program instructions to be sent to the computer system in the second layer to perform the particular action as part of the defined information flow.

  • Patent number: 9474519
Abstract: The application relates to a hand access laparoscopy device having a gelcap, a retainer, a sleeve and a retention ring. The gelcap includes gel that is bonded to a cap. The cap includes an inner cylindrical wall to which the gel in bonded, thereby providing a sealing area between the device and the wound in a body wall. By securing the gel to the inner cylindrical wall, the thickness of the gel and corresponding cap is minimized along with the overall footprint of the device. With the gel thickness reduced and able to be substantially flush, the “doming” phenomenon produced by insufflation of a patient's abdomen is reduced.
