The substrate wafer has a coefficient of thermal expansion greater than that of the film stack material so as to generate compressive forces upon the associated film layers, thus resulting in the film filter having a negative temperature drift coefficient.

The anti-reflection layer of the polarizer can reduce the reflection of the light irradiated on the polarizer, and the loss of light can be reduced and higher light transmission rate can be achieved.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a mold and a method of manufacturing the mold. The mold includes a mold matrix and a number of boron nitride nanotubes sintered together with the mold matrix. Each boron nitride nanotube capsules a number of fullerenes therein respectively. The mold further includes an amount of noble metal powder sintered together with the mold matrix and the boron nitride nanotubes. The fullerenes preferably include C60 molecules. In addition, the method for manufacturing a mold includes the steps of: providing a number of boron nitride nanotubes, each boron nitride nanotube capsuling a number of fullerenes therein respectively; mixing a mold matrix with the boron nitride nanotubes capsuling the fullerenes to form a complex; molding the complex to form a mold preform; and sintering the mold preform, thereby attaining a mold.

The emitting surface defines a large number of prisms (221), in which the distance (L) separating each two adjacent prisms changes according to an intensity of the light beams received from the light source. In particular, the pitch between two prisms decreases with increasing distance away from the light source. By the cooperation of the prisms and the light source, the surface light source has uniform illumination over the whole emitting surface.

The glass coating film is deposited on the outer surface of the plastic lens by vacuum deposition. The pure liquid can be selected from the group consisting of pure water, ammonia, methanol, acetone and heptane. Each carbon nanocapsule is a polyhedral carbon cluster (231), with a metal (232) having high thermal conductivity filled therein. The operating fluid has high thermal conductivity and uniform operation, and is recyclable with no pollution of the environment. The heat pipe has correspondingly high thermal conductivity.

The IR-cut layers are deposited on surfaces of the glass layers. The substrate has a spherical or an aspheric surface. The IR-cut layers have a function of filtering infrared rays, thereby improving the image-forming quality of the complex lens. The substrate is typically made of polycarbonate or polymethyl methacrylate. The glass layers are typically made of ZrO2—Y2O3 or SiC. Each IR-cut layer includes a plurality of films of Ti2O3 and SiO2.

    Abstract: A light guide plate mold core (1) includes a main body (13) having a molding surface (12) and a plurality of concavities (13a) formed at the molding surface. The main body is made of a material whose thermal conductivity is limited in the range from 0.002 cal/cm.s.K. (calories/centimeter.second.Kelvin) to 0.009 cal/cm.s.K. The thermal conductivity of the material for the light guide plate mold core is less than that of stainless steel. Therefore the rate of spreading of heat in the light guide plate mold core is lower than that of a conventional light guide plate mold core, so that stresses within a formed light guide plate can be released more. Thus by using the light guide plate mold core, a light guide plate having a highly even bottom surface can be manufactured. A method for manufacturing the light guide plate mold core is also provided.
